So basically Xbox as we knew it is dead, and they're now just going to sell custom PCs with an Xbox logo.

There are about as many people interested in this game as there were in Concord and Highguard.

Recently I've been debating about buying a used ps5. Funny enough it's not so much for the ps5 games, but primarily to play my ps4 backlog in 4k and have a 4k bluray player.
I heard rumors that we might see something Drakengard related. I expect nothing but have a microscopic amount of hope nonetheless.
Metacritic average is 86 atm with is roughly what I was expecting or slightly above (my prediction was 8/10). Might pick this one up some day.
This is the most forgettable console generation of all time.

Yeah I know what you mean. I think they nailed the atmosphere but the gameplay just doesn't quite make that "click" imo.

Xbox had a good start and peaked the gen after with the 360. The Xbone was a disaster MS never managed to recover from. They now seem to be steering toward being a third party publisher.

Damage has been done but it's not too late yet if they dump him now. Probably won't happen though. It's sad, honestly. We'll see what happens after Intergalactic. That game is going to have a huge impact one way or another.

If their games follow the same design philosophy as Concord and Marathon then they'll bomb just as hard. If they do then honestly I'd just cancel them right now if I were Sony and eat the loss, and save whatever face possible.
They're not just retiring the ad campaign, they're quietly retiring Xbox as a platform. The next one will basically be just a pc with an Xbox badge. The brand peaked with the 360 then fumbled it hard with the Xbone and never recovered. The days of Playstation vs Xbox are gone. It's going to be Playstation against Windows / Steam now, which is why Sony will no longer be releasing singleplayer exclusives on Steam anymore.
