John, I don't want to you go to wa.....[YOUR CONNECTION HAS BEEN LOST]
*damn telkom!*
I think he is going for new forms of game control. The Wii was the leader in this field, years ago. Now it's time for something that won't kill you TV if it slips out your hand...
If you were bored before, urine luck!
Can't wait for this to hit steam. It's like a game's right of passage...or something.
I think the future of mobile gaming is not in the hardware but in the software. We've seen massive growth in gaming on iOS/android devices, and they are clearly not powerful/dedicated gaming devices...
Limbo has 90% on 360, with 89 critics... :D
MW3 has 89%, BF3 has 84% (much higher than it should)...
No BF3 or MW3..? Bad Grant! :(
I think you mean 'then'. :P
EA have certainly done a better job of marketing before launch. I have seen many amazing BF3 videos, and only 1 MW3 video. I think that will drive sales in favour of BF3 more than any gameplay reviews.
How can people seriously report this?
"It is an opinion piece. Lame is also an opinion. If the article is disallowed on these grounds then the report is disallowed and therefore the article is not disallowed on these grounds, and therefore the report and this comment do not exist. You have successfully broken the space-time continuum! Call Aperture Science immediately!"
Kinect features. That's...interesting.
Not sure Nintendo are moving in the right direction here; just feels like they are trying to hop on the tablet bandwagon. Add to this their failure to learn from PS and XBox: placing the right analog stick above the buttons. Common sense (which I'm sure M$ and Sony spent a lot of cash confirming scientifically) tells me that you will aim more than you will fire...
I am so keen to buy it, but at R600 for XBOX (and finite gameplay) I'm not sure it's worth the release price. Don't get me wrong - Portal 1 is the best marketing for Portal 2, and I will get it. But in 2 months when everybody else has played out the content and few people are buying it...
Don't think I'll be buying this one. For all the gimmickry, you are still playing on a tiny screen. If I wanted to ruin my eyes, I would be playing more iPhone games instead of buying another expensive piece of kit.
And perhaps the addition of an 'off-switch' for the 3D is indicative of how quickly they imagine the novelty will wear off. It's like having 'headphones mode' on a surround sound system.
I do not own a PS3 but I do own an XBOX 360 (which I acquired very recently). So it is from experience, as a n00b, that I can make this observation.
Are M$ going to swap these for the default console controllers? This new controller is cool and all, but there will be a steeper learning curve for new gamers since the association of keys to game actions are created by the perception of colors.
Would be keen to see a study of effective actions per minute (in a range of games) by newcomers using each controller - I think you will find the colors work better in that case.
I want one of those controller! GIEF!
Also; good job DD for beating Minecraft in any category... :)
These guys are so funny! >< Great lunch-time listening.
Disappointed with the look of the Razer tablet. I have come to expect more from the Apple of gaming peripherals.
