Stop being a fan of dude. They'll keep dropping the ball as long as they have you to pick it up for them. As a wii u and 3ds owner, I'm disappointed. I feel like Nintendo has given up on the wiiu after this year and have moved on to the next system. A system that I'll now not purchase at all or will wait for the 199.99 price point.
People keep focusing on iwata and he needs to go too, but miyamoto needs to retire already. He didn't want to do star fox for years because he "didn't have something new to add to the game". Now he's releasing a star fox game without multi-player be HE doesn't play multi-player. This company is so frustrating!
It was trash this year. It was made even worse by the realization that star fox doesn't even have multi-player! This has to be one of the dumbest decisions they've ever made and they make a lot of them!

Totally agree. There have been numerous games in the past that are also light-hearted and fun. Maybe not with the ink/territory mechanic, but there have been games that look to strip away the bloat and focus on core mechanics and fun. You've named some very good examples of that concept.

They are probably trickling out the content so the game remains fresh. There probably are already new maps in development. It's probably going to be like Mario Kart 8.

Exactly. At least with the GameCube we everything a Nintendo fan could ask for. Now it seems like they are taking their fan base for granted. Star fox with no online multi-player, bastardized version of Metroid, no animal crossing for wii u, no option for voice chat in splatoon etc. They keep blatantly ignoring their fan base thinking we'll stick around while they try to chase the next fad.
What iwata and miyamoto don't get is that might not be much to take for granted ...
