So from xBox 720 we're now down to Botox 180. Great.
Great, vistas. In racing games they're always moving. In 60 fps or what? After their news about running at 30 & aiming for 60 but can't tell yet a few months for release, I don't want to hear about vistas, I want to see buttersmooth gameplay, after that I will look at your vistas.
Edit: somebody below beat me to it, Don Rat Mattrick it is:)
1st stage not that impressive, 2nd stage looks different, better. I think most people that complain about the graphics only raced the 1st stage and didn't proceed, racing the Clubman cup I noticed the improvements in lighting, shadows, and no more screentearing.
But racing with a Nissan Leaf with that awfull electric engine sound...
I'm using the GT wheel all assists off but can't really tell...never raced with the Leaf or that 2nd car before. But I did notice the wheel didn't shake that much, as if the tracks have a smoother surface, less bumpy. I found the controls to be less demanding as in previous GT Academies. Not too easy, but easier. Not sure of that's a good thing, I like having to work that wheel.
Love the slogan by the way. You win, you go Pro.
Did you play only the 1st race or also the rest? There seems to be a difference imo, the 1st track looks like a typical GT Academy track like previous years (just a track, no detailed enviroment) while the 2nd stage, the Sunday cup looks far better. Kinda like GT6:) different lighting than GT5's, better shadows.
Yes, and you can fool the dopetest by missing the cup on purpose with a funny QTE minigame. I'm surprised it didn't get rated M.
Sounds like it's a Xbox timed exclusive for now, if he really said it like that. Great news, I really liked the E3 presentation of the game, I thought MS had a Gears type of actiongame with that, just plain fun. Hearing this, I really hope to play it on PS4 by the end of next year. And it will look goood, no cloud needed.
Fix your radar.
Don't forget, 5-7 years from now we want more. We all have 4K tubes by then, sold to us by the same guy.
Any Snake will do, doesn't have to be Solid. Just a Snake so we can sneak.
Operation Intrude N313 or something, I remember playing the first Metal Gear on MSX. Unfortunately not the original Konami cartridge but a bootleg copy on 3.5" disk, and the savegame on audiocassette. Some may remember, fingers crossed everytime you had to use the elevators;)
The timeline above I think is part of the complete timeline from the Metal Gear Database, which can be downloaded from the PSN store.
Download it if you want to read more about the relationsand background of characters, the timeline, pretty much everything, but be warned: after an hour you will get lost and you may very well end up with more questions than answeres.
It's a free download, but quite big.
That thing looks so slick I'm going to throw out half the furniture so it will look even better. And I want a PS4 shaped couch.
Do that with a Xbox One and both get jealous.
You kissed her 3 times Dave.
I can confirm this.
Can we get a doctor!
Still not mastered your Honda? Better stay away from racing games:)
Funny how some people always want to stand still on one of the old GT tracks watching trees from inside their standard cars, where they could be racing hundreds of beautifull premium cars on beautifull tracks with beautifull lightning as the sun goes down, all in the same game they probably do not own.
I call it a cloud when I see it rain in Forza 5, untill then it's marketing bs. Passing data through internet can not even remotely be compared to passing data through internal components, and the new Xbox is lacking in that department compared to the PS4.
Edit: ok should have read it properly, for online gaming it can help just like dedicated servers. But that's not really news now is it?
I watched the 24h of Le Mans this weekend, several hours here and there but everytime I watched I couldn't resist setting up my wheelstand and Logitech and race the track myself in GT5's Arcademode, with the day/night cycle and weatherchange on.
Slowly you drive into the night, and about 30, 45 intense minutes later you're happy to see the first rays of light again, every lap a different lightning on the track.
So beautifull, so satisfying. Can...
It's getting rediculous the way Microsoft thinks of their Xbox customers. We're not gamers anymore, we are terrorists, criminals, consumers of everything advertisable, TV fans, too lazy to push buttons.
And we want to pay extra for all of that, and we don't know PS4 is on the horizon.
Xbone, Spybox, Botox One-80...go rot in hell.
