Agreed. I will be too busy playing D3 to take any notice of a weaker clone.
I still want to buy the Komplete edition, but $49.99?
Reality needs a scapegoat. I blame God!
I don't know about you, but I get sick of these sad articles justifying poor decision making by marketing folk designing games! "Well, games cost more! Let's write an article about why it's 'okay' used games are no longer eligible for sale due to gamer tags."
Okay, justify publishing companies, but where is an article justifying the gamer's perspectives that we WANT used games, and think games SHOULD cost less, because we can't afford the...
I guess that means I can blame bad grades on bad teachers!
I actually agree completely, but they are far more akin to RPG's, in the sense that you get to define your character, than games such as Final Fantasy, where the role is already defined. The lack of meaningful choices is disappointing compared to games from the 1980's and early 90's, but it is the best we get nowadays, and at least allows some freedom of choice, both when roaming, and when stat-building, as well as the wonderful joys of dungeon crawling, a D&D specialty. jRPG&...
Disagree, as jRPG's (the "RPG" in the title is deceptive) do not follow the rules laid down by Gary Gygax over a decade or several ago. They are semi-linear adventure games with a role already defined for you.
Durrrrrp...Call of Duty!
You mean a great time for tradition jRPG "ADVENTURE" games? Yeah, it is. My RPG period was when Dark Souls and Skyrim released within a single quarter. I don't consider jRPG's with linear features within the realm of the Gary Gygax RPG genre at all. Nor am I impressed by all these sensationalist articles by marketing folk whose eyes boggle everytime someone flashes them a quarter.
THANK YOU. The reviews for this game were as awful as the remasters, giving them top scores, even though Pyramidhead was censored and the visuals, vocals, and everything were sloppily remade. I won't even mention the lagg on PS3! Thanks, that was the native system these guys were released on! Screw publishing.
Don't get it period. They censored a significant plot point regarding Pyramidhead, and censorship should always beget boycotting!
Also, the only reason this game "sux" is the remake removing/censoring content, lagging, and then getting good reviews somehow? Can we stop bad publishers already.
Despite being a PS3 fan, I'm extremely impressed by Witcher 2, as I played the first game on PC. So I'm going to agree just because fanboy's are slightly frisky when touching their favorite console, and it comes across slightly more gay than touching yourself and imagining being a Catholic priest in full garb with 12 year old boys seated in the pew in front of you. :)
I am highly impressed by the graphics we are capable of producing nowadays, and will be even more impressed when we get more RAM, and perhaps a list about "innovative games" rather than another bland graphics fest that focuses on shooters, rather than creative gameplay. Maybe if we stopped focusing on graphics and "marketing & demographics" we would get better games? Kplz.
Thank you. It's also not inspired by subtlety, intelligence, or puzzle-design. Which means it takes a backseat in my mind to earlier mindbenders like Silent Hill, and is a step backwards, not a step forwards like the designers proclaim!
Psst...It's April Fool's! That said, I think Dark Souls deserves it. Best game from the past 5+ years.
I think I'm gonna break this gaming editor's arms. April Fool's! Not funny.
Ugh, man, after Dark Souls, everything feel flats. More dungeon crawlers plz? With puzzles, secrets, hidden doors, and stats. I think what I miss most about modern gaming is the serious lack of depth.
Apologetics is always apologetics. Get over it! The consumer is always right. They vote with the almighty dollar!
THANK YOU!
