Great feature, I was wondering were was that Cross play.
Just because a vehicle have a turret behind, and seats for 3 passengers (besides that is fully customizable to create different types and features), a warthog is not that type of vehicle. Besides, there are different types of vehicles for the 5 types of races in game.
You are comparing a game, or more specifically, the Halo games, which is minuscule compared to the most complex and sophisticated game of the MMO's, EVE Universe.
You didn't include DUST 514 awesomeness.

You are judging a very old build that is from 2011, tested internally from Devs and released as a closed beta for players in 2012 in the same version.
The main reason they released the current build for players, is to stress and optimize the server with more players in game with limited features.

And depending how the game is progressing, CCP announced they will add 32 vs 32 matches and so on. But for launch is 24 vs 24.
DUST 514 have more stuff to prove than any of those games, with an interaction never done before in consoles, specially how it will change the way PS3 community plays and connect to the most complex and sophisticated Universe and Sandbox in videogames and interact with another type of MMO in a different Platform in real time.
Resident Evil classics were a perfect example of Survival Horror. Or just compare Resident Evil Remake to Resident Evil 5 when it comes to survival horror.
