There are many countries with horrible connections with expensive monthly fee and low to average speed connection, specially in third world countries.

The real matches are not included yet. Probably it will take weeks or months to merge the beta in the Tranquility server, after that we can interact with EVE players, the conquest will begin when they include battles in Null sec and low sec planets and contracts created by capsuleers.

The build is from 2011 (and you can see that by yourself in options) they released that build for the purpose to stress the server, currently is not in the Tranquility Server (the next phase is to merge D514 in this server and then the Online interaction with the Capsuleers begins).
