You can on ebay screw GS
I think that should defiantly run it on those settings, maybe even 1080p on lowest settings.
At the very least I would like new hardware so that game can run at a native 1080p. The PS3 has some good looking games, but they all have to run at sub-HD, or 720p at the most.
Although I just built a new PC 4 months ago, so no real hurry for me. :)
The SP may be considered average (by some), but the MP, which is the meat and potatoes of BF, is far from average.
It does not sound like you have a "fairly high end pc". you can build a $500 PC that should be able to run this on high settings at 1080p.
"horribly flawed" is a little over exaggerated.
Until BF3 came out.
Do you know how to spell paid? No.
If you want an epic battlefield with a bunch of vehicles and a large emphasis on team play get BF3, if you want to play a faster more run and gun and smaller map/compact FPS the get MW3.
For me I love the vehicles and team play elements of BF3, so BF3 for me. Plus I have a brand new PC that can run it on almost max settings, so that's an extra plus for me.
Probably no more that GOW3 effected 360 sales.
The PC sales are only for retail copies of the game. It does not include digital copies, i.e. one's bought from Origin.
December NPD numbers probably wouldn't be a fair comparison. A large percentage of sales come from the first week, and BF3's first week is in October.
You bought two copies?
BF games are MP first and foremost. BF2 didn't even have a SP, it was only MP. This is the first BF game with SP (not counting the BC series).
CoDMW3 multiplayer... who cares! BF3 is coming out in two weeks!
Yep!
I plan on pre-ordering U3 with out a doubt, but I never pre-order this early. I always wait until a week or so before release so that I can make sure to get the Amazon credit if they are going to offer on for whatever game I'm pre-ordering. A lot of the time they don't offer the credit until a week or two before it is released.
Yep, same here!
I'm hooked on this game. I played 8 hours of it in the first two days. Normally I only play about 8 hours of video game a week! Can you say addicting!
Now for the hard part... what to play when I get home this or Portal 2???
Stream has had the series on sale several times now for less than $15.
