Seems like a shallower version of Monster Hunter with an added story that is barely worth telling.
Same, I canceled my collector's edition pre-order after playing the demo. The gameplay and storytelling seemed fairly shallow. Lots of expositional bloat in the dialog scenes.
FF7 Remake and Tales of Arise both showed the story instead of telling it. No idea what you are on about. Haven't you played any JRPGs that had "filler" dialog that went on and on without really adding to the plot?

That headline is a bold statement, we’ve still got Persona 3 Reloaded, Dragon’s Dogma 2, and FFVII Rebirth just in the next quarter. Not to mention Avowed later in the year. All look to be huge in their own way.
I won’t be buying anymore games for Xbox, nor subbing to Game Pass. I made this decision before this news, but it just strengthens my resolve. Plenty of incredible games between Ps5, Switch, and PC.
