This game gives the SOF legend a very bad name. The community has waited 4 years for this, and we get fed a console to PC port that carries over NOTHING from the first installments whatsoever. Such as shame, seeing as we'll never see another iteration of a SOF game. They shouldn't even have bothered.
Are you kidding me? Joke post?? I am not biased either way and have played every game you mention. Uncharted is the best looking console game to date, those are the FACTS.
It's not THAT bad. Bugs aside, it is a decent game.
PS3 version of AC.
Mass Effect is essentially Jade Empire in space. Mario scores well, because, it's Mario: a video game icon and each game is awesome. With that said, COD4 still deserves GOTY this year (or God of War 2). 2008 will belong to MGS, no doubt about it. I will be buying F3 for sure though.
Fine review, except for the graphics. It's some of the best graphics I've seen on consoles to date, shouldn't that warrant a 9.5? When you're wondering if what you are playing looks genuinely real, that should say something.
Whenever I see these PS3/360 comparison videos, I vomit in my mouth a little. I don't know what tv's they are testing on and what the friggin' brightness levels are set at for the PS3, the games NEVER look like this on my tv. They really need to calibrate for both systems.
I will agree with you on the fact that ms has indeed already released their biggest gun this generation in halo. Sony has pretty much coasted along to this point with few AAA games and a previously ridiculous price, yet somehow they've managed to stick in there. The PS3's lineup for 2008 is legendary, especially if FFXIII can squeeze in. Should be a very interesting 2008 that's for sure.
Nintendo can do no wrong at the moment.
You can't magically tap into the full power of the PS3 overnight. It will take a while, but hopefully not!
Wow, a 9 from gamespot? I don't know what to think anymore, must be a full moon!
"These big open worlds, which are fully interactive, do come at a severe cost on PS3. There is considerable texture pop-in and noticeable framerate issues. Playing back-to-back with the 360 version, it's obvious that Ubisoft did not devote enough resources to the PS3 edition. The framerate is considerably worse, so much so that it begins to affect gameplay in the later levels. You can get through the first two-thirds of Assassin with the framerate being just an annoyance, but it becomes ...
Based on the demo, something would be TERRIBLY wrong if the final game gets low scores...
More than likely, it's just a couple of HD gameplay preview vids. Let's hope we're wrong ;)
Solid number! I love the white model as well.
It looks like they cranked the brightness up in the PS3 version. Either way, they both look awful.
If true, OMFG!!!11
The last several years have yielded review sites and more importantly reviewers who I'm beginning to take less and less seriously. It's come to the point where every miniscule flaw is recorded, and it's as though they are expecting a PERFECT game in every facet. I prefer the term "over-reviewing". Now that my rant is over, I'm anxious to give AC a go :)
I'm tempted to watch, but the public has already seen almost TOO much lol!
The D00m chainsaw was just brutal at the time. Loved it! The Cerebral Bore better get a mention in the top 5 :)
