Amazon: PlayStation 2- $99.99.

Most people still have a PS2. Just play on that. Quit whining.
But the only thing 360 will get from Reach sales is a software spike. Xbox games aren't system sellers. Halo: Reach isn't going to move consoles with large numbers. Fact is if they love Halo you already own a 360.
You thought Halo 3: ODST was fun?! That one is the worse one in the series or do you play on the multiplayer disc?
The PlayStation 3 will catch up to the 360 by Christmas. It may not surpass it but it might be a tie between the two. Gran Turismo 5 will sell PS3's and if LittleBigPlanet 2 gets the right marketing push it could also sell systems.
Why does everyone assumes developers ONLY play on the console that they develop exclusives for... like Micosoft, Sony, and Nintendo own the lives of the employees and makes their decisions from some sort of switch in the Headquarters....

So, while I'm on my 360, on top of paying the $50 to play online, there could be an additional $10-$15? Being the gamer that I am, I can not go along with paying extra for something that should essentially be free *cough cough Xbox Live*. To me, everything comes down to the economics. A subscription based game is bad business.
This article is just misleading... It's not paying for free stuff, it's paying to GET things free. Wipeout HD isn't free, but if you are a PSN+ member you get it for free. You also get a handful of free minis. Ultimately, the free games with PSN+ are still priced for non-PSN members.
P.S. PSN+ is aimed more towards the consumers that use PSN heavily to download things like Minis, PSN games, Playstation One classics, etc. The average consumer who only owns a PS3...
You must enjoy Microsoft exclusive trailers huh? All the live-action jazz to overhype a game? Remember Halo 3:ODST?
Why are you talking? You are aware that we are recovering from a reccession? Jobs have been cut and the economy is in the sh*tter. You can just walk into a Wal-Mart, Publix, GameStop, etc. and expect a job to be handed to you. Plus, buying GT5 and LBP2 Collector's Edition will be a toll on some wallets.
PS3's XMB is way better, aesthetically and control wise. The only thing I like on the 360 NXE Dash is the Friends and My Xbox(of course) card.
Alan Wake was decent. I mean flashlight as a weapon? really? I didn't like it when it was used in Luigi's Mansion. Story was pretty cool though.
As far as sales, it would have done way better had it been multiplatform or even exclusive to PS3. IMO 360 doesn't have those gamers that play games with a good, emotion-driven plot.
As the third game in a trilogy, why would God of War 3 open up a new genre? It's a set franchise and, by the way, what genre could it be hmmm?
"Or when you pound a guys face in until its nothing but mush. Rip a guys head completely off just so you can use it as a flashlight. Or sleep with a guys wife and then kill him a few minutes later." - Need I bring up manhunt? Silent Hill? Resident Evil? Fatal Frame? The Suffering? No? Didn't think so. - None of thos...
bubbles for you
This is kinda looks like a fake. The Dashboard is 2D. The current one is more 3D and has some sort of depth to it. The E3 demos with the Kinect Dashboard had some depth as well.
Go trade in your 360 with Alan Wake for a PS3 and get Heavy Rain.
There was a comment regarding the flop of 360 exclusives one after the other. That's why Alan Wake was brought up.
Saying Killzone 2 is repetitive is calling Modern Warfare 2 repetitive. Same run and gun shotting.
N3:2 is bad. The demo was terrible and the full game is just as bad, if not worse.
Citing wikipedia is immediate fail. You could have easily editited that one section to say (Xbox only)...
You shouldn't disrepect anyone. At least the #1 system you said was the NES. PS2 is perfectly fine taking 2nd place because it's still good, and PS3 should be above 360 and the genesis.
If you look closely at the article all of Sony's consoles are on there. The 360 is the only one from Microsoft.
Sony 3 to MS 1.
I am suicidal-ly sad...
