Just started listening to Knife Party the other day, they're dope. Agrees for you! Also Flux Pavillion, Nero and Bassnectar are great
Immense amount of dubstep hate. I bet no one even knows a dubstep artist (sans Skrillex).
Everyone is a journalist on this website. Day in and day out they ramble on and on about the ethics of journalism while blatantly misunderstanding that journalism in and of itself is biased. All journalism is. Your opinion on something is well formulated before you read a article that states contrary to your own.
Will this controversy affect ME3's Game of the Year eligibility?
It's funny how you say that IGN review are bought. Naughty Bear had advertisements all over IGN when it was released but guess what? It got a 3 and the advertisements were still there. If Mass Effect 3 is a 9.5, it's a 9.5. It would have been a 9.5 regardless of Chobot's involvement. You must assume BioWare asked IGN if they could put Ms. Chobot in the game as if IGN owns her.
As for the review page, one of their editors said they were trying to create these new ...
@MrBeatdown Hmmmm you are indeed right. My thing is how many people really read the PS Blog? Like I stated before the video was more to clear up with the average consumer who doesn't know that the PS Blog exists. They'd see the sticker and be like "oh free game that's a good deal" without reading the fine print.
That's just how I see it, but you do post a good point.
If you listened to Podcast Beyond, IGN's PlayStation podcast, you would have heard Greg Miller say that he knew the terms of the PS Vita/Super Stardust+Free Month bundle, it's just a matter of understanding it.
I think this video was for the consumer more-so because the average person, who bought the 3G Vita, would not know that there was this fine print on some website saying that they would not get the game and the free service until after 30 days.
...
@morganfell must be journalism greatness
We see these articles every year... if 360 owners really wanted these PS3 games (and vice-versa) they would save up their money and buy the respective system the game is on. I finally got a PS3, after having a 360 for two years, and I'm enjoying playing Uncharted and Resistance and Ratchet and Clank likewise on my 360 playing Halo Anniversary and Gears of War 3.
These articles are dumb.
Hey can someone tell me what "true journalism" is?
I assume since you all are commenting on the validity of IGN's writing staff, you all know what it's like to write articles for a news publication. See I am an aspiring journalist, so I have to know the ways of a "true journalist". Divulge this information to me random guy on the internet!
Ah okay. I am remembering the Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect 2 deals now.
Half-Life 2: meh
Can't wait to play this game!!!!
..but we all know how this is gonna go. developer promises free game/content on PS3 copies of bigger game. Said free game somehow is missing from the bigger game's disc. Everyone is in a frenzy (see Saint's Row: the Third and Battlefield 3).
Still excited to play this though!
Hold on Kanye, I'mma let you finish.. but BATTLEFIELD 3 IS GONNA BE THE BEST FIRST-PERSON SHOOTER OF ALL-TIME! *shrug*
The kids on N4G are retarded. Sony Music Group OWNS the rights to Michael Jackson's catalog. When Michael Jackson died he was in the midst of launching a 50-show comeback tour, a new album, and plans to do a concert movie (hence This Is It movie). When he died Sony was already profiting on the fact that MJ was gonna comeback. Even then after MJ died, the sales of Michael Jackson's music went to his estate and back to Sony. Microsoft doesn't own any music groups so any promotion of...
@darthv72 Sony Music Corp. owns to right to MJ's music catalog. They can promote his music because they own it. And at the time, MJ was planning a comeback tour and promotion for his music was running rampant. Anyone who's an MJ fan knows that. What Microsoft did was completely for self-promotion. They have nothing to do with Amy Winehouse nor her music, so promoting their own music service in light of her death is wrong.
I like how people keep referencing the multiplayer portion of games as a reason to get a FREE game.. If you bought Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, Killzone 3, or SOCOM you still have the multiplayer portion of the game to play it's just not available at the moment but trust me it's still there as an option once PSN is up and running.. Just because PSN is down doesn't mean you can't ever play multiplayer again. Invite some friends over have a local party. Quit crying.
EA isn't putting Michael Vick on the cover based on his morals, or America's morals. EA is putting him on the cover because of the result they got by letting FANS (that would be gamers, ESPN readers, and you people commenting on N4G) vote on who they wanted on the cover. Vick had an outstanding season last year and WELL deserves to be on the cover of Madden 12 based on the results stemming from his dogfighting controversy.
EA isn't trying to appeal to animal love...
Does anyone here listen to IGN's podcasts? On Podcast Beyond, Hilary said that he switched to PS3 a little after Thanksgiving. That was weeks before the console showdown article came out and weeks before this blog.
P.S. it's a blog not an article, therefore it's more of an opinion piece not something IGN told him to do
... and they said Forza 3 was better than Gran Turismo 5... That game isn't even out yet and I'm starting to like it more...
@tigertron what does hipsters have to do with COD? If anything they wouldn't play COD because it's mainstream
