Well, movie remasters are closer to games remasters since they involve visual & auditory improvements.
But movie remakes involve different scenes, sets, story elements, twists even though the concept can remain the same, case in point Ocean’s Eleven 1960 vs 2001.

Definitely not a remaster. Not sure I’d call it a full remake either. Afaik level design & story are still the same, which I believe is what most doubters (myself included) have an issue with when it comes to the price, & the word "remake", also no multiplayer as opposed to the original release.

Bad comparison, they’re different kinds of games, & Returnal is on a whole other level, gameplay mechanics, sounds/music, levels, mood, immersion (dual sense definitely played a role there).

I disagree, we're talking about a serious dev that should supposedly be knowledgeable enough about their audience & should know what they're building & for whom. Seeing a low number of registrations should not send them the signal that you'd rather want games like Diablo Immortal. In fact, the low number should prompt them to pay attention.
Agreed, I don’t get the disagrees. Blizzard has not earned a buy from gamers, even less a pre-order, & even if it’s the beta registration.
Show them what they did with Immortal is not ok, show them there are consequences to scummy practices, show them by not registering interest.
