"If you are bored by GTA5 then that is a reflection on you and not the game."
And he doesn't state otherwise. Read the whole article.
"Now it’s worth noting at this point that I have no particular objection to GTA V or the Grand Theft Auto series as a whole."
"In addition to the $1 billion earned in three days, the game had 10/10 reviews coming out of its behind. And I’m not saying...
I had a much more detailed comment typed out but my browser crashed and I lost it so I'll just try and give you a short version of what I said:
Be wary. I was one of those people who was hyped for GTA4 and ended up being disappointed by it, and now that I have GTA5, the disappointment is very similar to GTA4.
The controls aren't as good as they should be for such a high budget game (don't expect controls like infamous, tomb raider, saints row 3 o...
"Just a fact of the matter, mouse and keyboard is the best input method for shooters. Period."
Not for everyone. Some people just cant get used to a mouse and keyboard like they can a controller. I can use a mouse and keyboard fine enough, but I am still nowhere near as good with it as I am a controller. I'll still do far better in something like BF3 on consoles than I will on my pc (have both versions and I can confirm this).
Mouse and keybo...
That's one badass lawnmower.
Pop ups are constantly redirecting me to this app on the playstore when I view N4G on a mobile device, like twice in a row on every other page visit. Does this happen to anyone else? Because it's starting to get really annoying. It appears on other sites as well, but nowhere near as frequently as it does here on n4g (when browsing with my phone that is, I never see it when just browsing on my pc).
It's very intrusive and annoying. I wouldn't mind if it was a b...
"MAG, with 256 players in a single game, is on par with MMOs."
How so? Just because it has 256 players that means it's on par with an MMO? Player count is all it takes to make a game 'on par' with an mmo?
I'd think that the content itself would determine that fact, not the amount of players possible in the game, and although I only played MAG for a few hours, I don't think it has quite as much content as your average MMO.
Hopefully they make the game saves cross-compatible so I can bring all my characters from my ps3 version to the vita version.
in reference to Fallout 3
Did anyone, after a long FO3 session, right when they were about to quit the game, just nuke the hell out of everything in the current town you were in just to try out those mini nukes and have fun with them, or was that just me?
Lol, I'd just shoot random mini nukes up into the air in megaton and kill everyone I possibly could, just to see the effects of them. Obviously I wouldn't actually save the game after doing this, bu...
"God the thought of "athletes" in 20 million dollar contracts for playing Starcraft makes me cringe"
The thought of anybody in any sport making that much money makes me cringe. In my opinion, one should not be paid THAT MUCH MONEY for simply playing a sport. I mean 20 million for watching a guy throwing or kicking a ball around? Really now, can you honestly tell me someone deserves that type of money for such a trivial activity whose only purpose is to ...
@Johnsonparts23
From the millions and millions of undeserved sales that they get from Call of Duty?
Maybe Activision finally decided to invest some of that dough into something other than CoD marketing.
Bastion
Borderlands 1 DLC
The Armory of General Knoxx
What game was it on?
How well do games run off an external hard drive though? This was one of my fears before the Wii U came out, and I haven't really researched any test results since then (have there even been any full retail games released digitally yet?).
I'm genuinely asking, not trying to start anything.
So, assuming that there are going to be four more DLC packs that are similar to the ones we have now, you expect to pay only $30 dollars for something that's pretty much worth around $120 dollars? An entire season pass worth is basically a full game, at least in terms of length. I won't bring up the issue of quality because that is completely subjective, some like the DLC they provided, some don't.
Season pass #1 (almost a full games worth of content = Worth $60 ...
I didn't play LA Noire or get the season pass, but based on what the description says you get, it doesn't sound like you get very much.
The two main DLC packs for L.A. Noire seem to be "Nicholson Electroplating", an hours worth of content, http://www.howlongtobeat.co...
and Reefer Madness, another hours worth of content 4704d ago 0 agree7 disagreeView comment
"Just give season pass holders all the DLC. When it first started, that was the idea"
Gearbox made it very clear that the season pass only gave you access to the first four pieces of story DLC. If you were confused and thought it granted you access to every piece of DLC, even unplanned DLC, then you have no one but yourself to blame for not doing research before buying.
And to state the obvious, you don't have to buy it. Damn, it seems as thou...
As I said, I DID like SR3, it's still a good game and offers something not many games have these days with the ridiculousness of gameplay options, I just feel it was a step down from SR2.
I don't think he's trying to criticize the game or make any argument against it other than he personally doesn't like it.
You might ask "then why make an article about it", to which I would ask you the same thing about 50-60% of everything that appears on n4g (irrelevant opinion pieces and top 10 lists, you have to get used to them if you're going to be on this site).
It's simply one guys opinion that he decided to post to his ow...
