Besides Crysis, show me some pc games that look better than KZ2(or 3) and Uncharted 2.
I have a 12 megabit connection, and it would still be faster for me to drive down to gamestop to pick up Black Ops than to download it off of Steam, of which will most likely take even longer (or sometimes not even work until things have calmed down) since everybody is downloading the game all at once.
Physical copy (especially blu ray) always beats digital download.
Hmm, well good for you then.
XBL does have a couple of features I'd like to steal (X-Game Chat and X-Game Invites), but otherwise, the 50 bucks a month is not worth it for all those other unnecessary features that weren't asked for in the first place.
I'd personally rather spend that 50 bucks on another video game rather than have Facebook, Twitter, LastFM, or any of the other features I can just use much better on my pc.
The graphics don't matter to me, but Call of Duty doesn't have BAD graphics, just mediocre and average graphics, and certainly looks better than a few multiplats out there.
While they're not Killzone or Uncharted quality, they get the job done and aren't bad enough that I'm focusing on them all the time.
Did you like Call of Duty 4 and World at War (or even some little parts of MW2)? If you answered yes to any of those, then it will probably be worth it to you.
Guns actually have recoil now. Not insane amounts of recoil, but enough to where you can't fire a full clip into the same position without adjusting your aiming accordingly. Enemies also take more hits to kill. Overall, it's pretty balanced so far, and I can't really complain about anything yet.

edit: Somethings wrong with the comments/replies today.
Actually, people shot it down because it was a 4hr campaign, not an 8 hour campaign as you so generously over exaggerate it as.
I would have bought it if it truly was 8 hours, but judging from all the people that do have it's reviews, it's only a 4-6 hour game.
If the game is only 4 hours long, then it either should not cost full price (it should be 30-40 dollars) OR have multiplayer with it's short, 4 hour campaign to make it worth full price. ...
"Overhyped DLC-milking product that shouldn't be bought by anyone who loves gaming."
I love gaming and I'm buying it. Know why? Because I'll have fun with it. No, not the kind of fun that YOU personally experience from being an elitist twat, but fun from actually playing it.
The fact that some people pride themselves on NOT buying a game is pathetic. You don't like it? Fine, that's your opinion and I respect it, however to go and...
They released 2 free maps for Call of Duty 2, console and pc versions.
Well good luck not playing any FPS for two years.
Are you done?
People aren't buying the game because it's really short and costs full price, not because it lacks multiplayer.
If it were cheaper, say like 30-40 bucks, I'd jump right on it, but when it's only a 4hr game AND doesn't have a form of multiplayer or co op AND costs the full price, then it's just not worth it.
I'd gladly pay full price for it if it was at least 8+ hours. I'd also gladly pay full price for it if it had multiplayer...
Honestly I don't think we will see ANY real scores for the game.
On ONE hand, sites will give Black Ops amazing scores simply for the fact that it's highly anticipated and very popular.
On the OTHER hand, sites like this one are going to intentionally give Black Ops bad or mediocre scores for the sole reason of getting hits.
I think this is just one of those times that reviews are going to be completely meaningless.

"and want to feel badass"
No no no, you're confusing the reason people play games with YOUR reason to play games. Other people play games like Call of Duty because they have fun playing it. Just because you play games to satisfy your ego and think you are finally actually good at something in your life, does not mean others play games like Call of Duty for that reason.
You see kiddo, later on in life when you're older and finally leave tha...
Yeah, it can, but it can't use a DS3 properly. Go on and use a DS3 to play both Bioshock and CoD4 with a DS3 on a PC, and then a PS3. Have it on the same tv so you can switch video sources and compare the experiences immediately, instead of doing it later on.
The feel between using the DS3 on a PS3 and a PC is MASSIVELY different. I'm not talking about button mapping here, but the actual movement. It's not the same at all, so the whole "you can use your ...
Why?
Well MY friend got an early copy and quickscoped in mw2 all the time and said it's much harder to QS in BO.
(the lesson to be learned here is that you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, ESPECIALLY when it's not even a first hand account of actual gameplay experience)
People did like the concept of Naughty Bear though. It COULD have been good, the idea is there, it just had really sh*tty execution.
This ^
I was kind of excited for Naughty Bear, but seeing all the reviews saying how the game was sh*t and had broken controls, really turned me off.
I was looking forward to it to be one of those sleeper cult classic hits or whatever, because it had great potential.
Me too :(
I've raged quit out of the game at least 5 times now.
It's like the game is just f*cking with me: I will have to wait in the lobby for like 2 to 3 minutes (that's actually a pretty long wait for Call of Duty standards), then the match will finally start loading and you have to wait for the bar to finish loading, then after the bar is all the way there, it just stops and then you see the black screen with the circular loading screen letti...
