For Nintendo? Neither. Nintendo consoles are generally carried by their first-party titles. Whether the Wii U sells 10 million or 100 million, it's made profits since day 1.
If the NX were to launch with Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda it would have record sales day 1. With a catalog of Metroid, Star Fox, Splatoon, Smash Bros, pikmin and donkey kong for possible post-launch content, does it matter if they get the next Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed?

XBL has around 50 million players, dedicated servers, and the quality is still much higher than PSN.
While on Sony, big titles like Uncharted 4 will NOT have dedicated servers. PSN is in the same sorry condition as it was on PS3, yet you just have to pay for it now.
