O'Connor's reasoning doesn't add up and is contradictional. If you build a game around 60 FPS and even build an entire demo around that rate, why would it drop below the desired rate?
I'm sure 343 will get it right at launch but with 343's 'goals' and these comments things are getting confusing.
I guess I have to agree with you. There are titles I get real anxious from all the different loadouts etc. Just lock and load.
I'm sure no one will take about this when Halo 5 launches.
I believe that in an interview with IGN Holmes stated that Forge will be improved and will make use of multiple palettes, terrain sheets, and lighting set-ups. Also usability will be improved.
Is it already supported as Xbox One title?
I'm sure some might argue that. In the E3 demo there were some serious frame-rate drops during action packed scenes and as Eurogamer pointed out "only the quietest of moments delivers a completely stable frame-rate: every battle sequence in the demo suffers from noticeable drops - something we observed not just in the media briefing live demo, but in 343's own b-roll footage"
INdeed, personally I think Alan Wake has been underrated. Such a nice game.
Agreed, it seems they are taking a different approach for Halo 5 and are trying to deliver a new experience, including the removal of the split-screen mode. They better deliver or the result will be a lot of angry Halo fans.
That doesn't imply that no one was in anticipation for it. I'm guessing that fans didn't talk about it since they were expecting it would be included anyway - as it has always been.
My thoughts exactly, spot on.
Blown away by the trailer, also the music is epic.
Source?
Hoping to hear more about the actual length of the game. Earlier De Jonge stated that the game is comparable with recently released open-world games.
True and I would like to add that even 900p would be acceptable to me in order to maintain a solid FPS.
Holmes should have never said they are 'planning' to do a split-screen mode back in January. Now it just looks like they dropped it to maintain 60 FPS.
I have to admit this game didn't appeal to me at first but lately it's starting to look more interesting.
Team fortress does have a 'weird' cast of characters as well:P
Also I've just asked Guerrilla about the length of the single player mode. Hopefully they release a bit of info:)
According to recent tweets from Guerrilla there is more the come in the next months. Also I hope Sony and Guerrilla will reveal more at the their Paris event later this year.
Excited to see how this hunting system works out.
Valid point there Septic. Spot on and I have to agree with you on your last post. The split-screen removal remains a pressure point for a lot but I'm guessing 343 will deliver an amazing title in the end.
