Crytek can go to he'll, Crysis 2 on 360 is still completely messed 3 months later!
I feel like they suckered me out of my money. They won't get it again
Crysis 2 on 360 suffers from a horrible grain bug that makes half of the game look like rubbish. There are WAY better, shaper, cleaner looking games on 360 than Crysis 2. C2 looks great at first then like crap for half of the game and gets blockier and blocker with each level.
Not to mention the unstable framerate.
Yet no fix for the grain glitch on consoles. This is great for PC owners but Crytek has disappointed me beyond measure with their complete lack of support on 360.
That was a great interview (for those that read it). I think he means that the proliferation of Apple devices, if it continues at this pace, would cause the traditional console and PC devs to make AAA quality games for them.
Remember soon the graphics on them will be on par with consoles, all apple needs to do is release a controller and TV connectivity. Plus the market for Apple devices isn't nearly as segregated as it is on consoles and PC gaming capable rigs - old, yo...
Nobody would use a Vita or 3DS primary as a cell phone; cells are very compact whereas handhelds can be cumbersome to carry around everywhere.
Who wants to take their handheld into a bar, etc.
I'd take BF3 destruction and team based MP over COD any day.
Most devs just show the best looking version of the and the PC version.
I want a new PS3 slim design. SSomething shiny with more USB ports and smaller of
Course
Games are almost as much and audio/visual experience as they are an interactive one.
Also, without better graphics many games genres wouldn't be nearly as entertaining aka fun as they are - imagine Red Dead with PS1 graphics with the same exact gameplay, it would totally suck.
Both gameplay and graphics are necessary and interdependent, you're delusional if you think otherwise....unless you prefer Pong.
I love 60 FPS, it makes the game sooo smooth.
I'd much prefer a drop in resolution or texture quality for 60 FPS.
I think devs forget that the most popular games in the world (COD) is 60 FPS. Not saying thats the sole reason but it certainly gives a great first impression.
Gears 2 had the most bugged MP I've ever experienced, they should just focus on making it run smooth.
I hope it's slimmer, has more USB ports and is shiny again.
Anyone expecting the console version to match the PC is lving in a dream world. That being said, B3 is looking to be one of the best looking console shooters especially when up consider destructible environments.
I was very please with what I saw; it looks a lot better than BFBC2.
Looks great for consoles, Frostbite definitely destroys Cryengine.
Anonymous pissed me off and made the Playstation brand more popular with all that Huge Corporation Victim press.
I hate spoilers, especially when there in the TITLE of an article.
Geez
Infamous 2 is a great game, starts off slow but gets really really good.
9/10
That's way too expensive.
Well if MS really wants to put the screws to Sony they could take a loss on each console sold, make it extremely powerful and developer friendly, and sell it relatively cheap.
Sony has already stated that they're not going to take losses on there next console again so Im guessing $400 wort of hardware max, MS could release a 600-800 dollar piece of tech and sell it for the same price. Sony would be in some serious trouble then.
The old Rainbow 6 Vegas was more innovative than 95% of console shooters this gen. It had cover right when Gears allegedly re-invented it, it had squad tactics and control, down the sites aiming and it wasn't at all corridor based. It was more open world than Crysis 2 will ever be.
Most FPS games have innovated this gen only in terms of MP but in terms of pure gameplay few have matched the quality and innovation of R6 Vegas which came out years ago.
