Ability to actually control games that aren't on rails.
I'd put Metal Gear Solid instead of Bastion.
I know, but I wish even more that it only aimed like that on my PS3.
DICE will never fix that controller lag for PS3 I'm afraid.
I totally agree with the author.
This is obvious, why would they launch Halo 4 on 360 and a new console at the same time.
Everyone is always happy with the current gen until they see what they could have in the next one.
I can't wait till PS4 and Next Box
Why would it need MP?
I have to admit that Bioware stories are good, after (still) playing Skyrim I really can appreciate a decent narrative instead of mindless quests - still enjoy the Skyrim, but it seems more about leveling up than cool adventures.
Always believe that strong villains make for the best game stories.
I say be a year later again and take whatever hardware 720 has and make PS4s a little bit better (more RAM, faster CPU and better GPU) and launch at the same price.
Better multiplats and more exclusives would mean the only card MS has is online which I definitely commend MS for but Sony could just copy the functionality and offer it free still.
I know what happened here: some guy passed/tired of all the great multiplats this year and got sick of Gears 3, had no games left he felt like playing, wished he had some more, looked at Sony's exclusives, got jealous and decided that if he has burned through all the good games this year he may as well hate on the system that still has more good games because he really has nothing better to do.
Hence the ridiculous article. The author should spend less time hating on PS3...
The demo was fun IMO and the game looked good enough not to detract from my enjoyment.
I much rather buy the Darkness II than Rage despite Rage being beautiful.
Same here, and I own every contender except for Skyward Sword.
excellent list
The author definitely could be right/wrong about this.
I disagree. Sony dropped the ball this gen with the PS3 hardware design in some key ways, some multiplats still look worse.
No console that releases a year later should have multiplats that look worse; the GPU and RAM alone should make the games look better easy.
Devs shouldn't have to jump through programming hoops with the CPU just to make games look EQUAL). Nor should publishers have to spend more money just to get things equal.
...
The only reason I bought a 360 is because it had the most and best exclusives, now they mostly seem to care about timed exclusive DLC content which completely sucks. Also, there's no additional content being created, only that others are deprived for a period of time.
Live users basically pay to prevent PC and PS3 owners from getting things released as the same time as 360 and MS uses that to advertise Live's superiority.
A 360 arcade and Live for a year = $260
(only 4 gigs hd too, and no Blu-ray, and next year it would have cost you $320 and so on)
A PS3 is $250 flat (comes with everything needed to enjoy any game, demo, DLC released on it)
The ONLY region the 360 is more popular than PS3 is in the US, sorry but there are a lot of ridiculously stupid/ignorant Americans. Or it's possible America is right and the rest of the world has it wrong.
Nope, it's probably a great system for people that like serious portable gaming but I no longer rely on public transit and do all my at home gaming on the 51 incher with surround sound.
For the rare occasion where I need to kill time away from home, phone games and the internet are more than adequate.
The only game I know with CGI is FF13, although I still love CGI it's predominately phased out already. Pre-rendered in engine still look very good though.
MS lied then, because they said repeatedly around launch that it was for both the hardcore and casual gamer and promised a bunch of core games were on the way.
