From my game buying experience this will not end up cheaper if they remove the drive to digital only.
Everyone knows online game prices are more expensive atleast in EU so you saved a little in the console then over time spend much more in games.

It gives gamers a chance to try them out and contribute to ideas, fixes etc
The problem is many including media seem to treat them as complete or are not able to fully grasp what an alpha state truly means.
This game was amazing my drove my friend and i cwazzy trying to finish it.
We eventually did but i think we wore out and we did it co op but still it was really tough but fun.
I love emu gaming these days so i might have to try this one again but solo
The value is incredible, something you do not really appreciate as much until you join what with sales reductions for members ontop of some amazing titles you would might of never considered.
I'm a avid gamer but busy lady and struggle to get through so many great deals on ps+
A great reason to keep hold of your ps3 still as well :p

I believe they will as well but just probably not nearly the numbers they enjoyed with Wii.
That console seemed right console, right time and was very innovative to the competition as well as clever marketing designed to bring people together through, dance, exercise, singing games and software.
Would not like to see Nintendo go out of consoles have always enjoyed their handhelds more though.
Not everyone wants to stream just as many many still buy dvds over say lovefilm stream service etc
Consumerism is about choice, as long as there is demand companies will make devices to game on. They all wish to attract as many customers as possible and that means streams, devices, consoles, tv's whatever sells and makes money coupled with what their core market dictates i cant see consoles going anytime soon.

A shame as just a normal purchase game would still sell, lets be honest it looks so good practically every ps4 owner will buy it and its looking like that will be the many millions now
There will always be a need for physical media this is just another way to deliver games to your favorite way to play i.e your tablet tv or vita or whatever else is compatiable.
Giving even more consumers even more choice and eliminating the need to buy a hundred different devices to play is how i see this.
It is, i recently was gifted the collection on steam but ps1 is still my fav.
So easy to emulate on devices if you ever try :)

The controls are soo old skool but satisfying with the side, backstep etc to jump or sommersault as said once you get the hang of things :p.
Lara will always be a classic for me, i have them currently on shield, so much fun :)
This was one of the many reasons i placed my preorder for ps4 as soon as i could.

To retro gamers, games like tr2 are still alot of fun and immersive. I guess because it was one of the first full on 3d games and large screen tv's that is offputting by todays standards but as a retro gamer chick, to me these all really rock and well worth your time especially on hand helds where they really come alive.
A good game is always a good game, you just have to overlook the look so to speak, just give it a try :p
It was a sad day in hindsight when Enix took over Square. They were the Rpg games to own and play back then, i loved them all growing up, still do ofc.

Monster hunter is an amazing time sink, i still play mhfu on vita or nvidia shield, you can spend hours grinding a certain part or fighting a monster, learning how to defeat it.
Without monster hunter i would never of been tough enough for dark souls.

I am okay with it because personally the extra revenue this brings Sony surely will in turn bring more money to afford things like better funding leading to games for their studios, support, i.p's and online gaming.
Adverting really doesnt affect me too much i can see some are offended but i like to try see its positives too.
