There's a fundamental difference. Demon's Souls and Bloodborne are actually Sony owned ip's. They financed and had input in those games, so they were involved in the development process. 3D Dot Game Heroes was developed by Silicon Studio and published by From in Japan. So apart from the distribution they pretty much had nothing to do with the game.

That was an awesome game, but I'm pretty sure From only published it. They didn't develop it.
Team Yakuza has really earned the right to experiment. They've consistently put out solid entries for that franchise for 15 years.

Astro Bot has a very similar vibe to Ape Escape and showed what 3rd person platforming in VR can do. I think Ape Escape could take that to the next level.

I can't help but feel that since this person is of a certain "protected" class the articles are not straight forward and all the details are sketchy. 97 year old people die "peacefully in their sleep", not 24 year olds. I think the statements are vague to protect this person's "legacy". But it sure sounds like a suicide case.

They said the same about the leap from PS3 to PS4... But look at Uncharted 3 vs 4. The difference is massive. It's not just about the technology, but what developers can do with the tools provided. We'll have to wait and see.
The problem with Bioshock 2 is that it was very derivative from the first. It was more Bioshock. Not a bad thing, but it didn't push many boundaries. So at the end of the day it was a competent yet somewhat forgettable sequel.
