I'm sure Valve had good reasons to only use 1 core... They probably just wanted to show off their incredible and efficient programming skills.
Valve is known for three things: being progressive, very tolerable of different architectures other than i386, and just generally nice guys.
I really hope they FINALLY do the Final Fantasy VII remake, now that they can use the new Crytek engine for it.
He doesn't die right away like you think he would, but he only has a few months, right? I beat the game over a few months ago, so I figure he is probably dead now.
I would always get killed in MGO because I would CONSTANTLY stare at the porno magazines hoping to see at LEAST a nipple shot. Even after my friend told me there isn't any, I would still look and sure enough... *BLAM* someone gets me. Bunch of rookies getting their jollies off killing a man on a real mission.

It's sad that Snake dies at the end of MGS4... but to me, a hero never dies, and I believe Snake is still alive in all of our hearts.
Kind of like how Mega Man died at the end of 5 and the professor just made a new one... that's seems pretty cold, but you have to understand that the professor believes in a world where heroes never die.

The Wii is solid! I kicked my friend's Wii a few times when he was in the other room, yesterday, and it didn't even skip while playing Super Monkey Ball. I know for a fact that my PS3 or xbox would have cracked with how hard I kicked it.

I'm glad not too many PS3 fanboys jumped all over this. I like both my xbox and my ps3--I get random freezes with my ps3 as well. Every system has its bugs. The Wii is the only system that never crashes, due to not needing to play very intensive games. That's why you have to give Nintendo respect.

I read that if they made this game on the PS3, it wouldn't run at a choppy 25 FPS... I wouldn't mind picking this up, but if it's true, I'll wait and get it for the PS3. Everything I read says that Sony is being paid by Microsoft to let the xbox look decent for a little while longer--before they "crush the competition with mind-blowing graphics powered by a nvidia gpu that has more capabilities than all of xbox's processors (and harddrives) combined." That quote didn't make much sen...
I've never played an MMORPG before. Are there adult themed servers? It would probably be really nice since the textures are so detailed.
Since PS3 games are much better (even the cross-platform games), I'm surprised Microsoft doesn't sell xbox games for $10-$20 cheaper. It doesn't even make sense, does it? And plus Bluray costs much more (like 5 cents) per disc--since it is far more superior to dvd9 (and was much more innovative at the time, feature-wise, than the dead HD-DVD).
