I think the biggest reason Aeriths death had such an impact is because noone was expecting it. You're playing the game and you get all close to her and get to know her and how she's an ancient and all that and then BAM you're going to go save her and out of no where she dies. It was a gut wrenching moment for me when i played it because I wasn't expecting it at all. As well as the fact that i used her in my party didn't help either.
The newest patch they released completely changes the game for the better. I know everyone wanted the game to be the best when it launched but reality is it wasn't. So 3 months later its slowly getting better. But i do agree with you.
In all honesty I would much rather have all the in game content that they're giving me then elite. Would it have been awesome if they included that well of course. But the hardened edition for mw3 only had elite in it and some avatar things if I remember correctly. So I believe treyarch is offering much more even without elite.

Ok fair enough however this game has nicer graphics lol i know its not an amazing leap but it looks better than MW3 and all the other ones. Lost odyssey was great until you got your grand children in your party and they fought alongside you. Then Kaim went from lonely badass to omg i have grand kids and the story did a 180. That's when i lost interest.

It had malaria so i could only run 15 feet until i had to stop. I had no flash light and the enemies could see me from forever away even at night time. Other than that not much really was a problem.
Here is a theory, it might actually BE really good. Maybe if you can just get over the hair not being "dante" you might actually enjoy the game when it comes out. Oh and if you decide to bring FPS into it then know that only 3 and 4 had 60 FPS the first and second one did not.

Im a real MGS fan and I am not upset by this at all because now more people get to enjoy my favorite franchise. I don't understand why an open word MGS makes you think that metal gear is dead now.

I don't think the inclusion of co op and air strikes will ruin the game or the stealth part of it. My guess is you won't have to call in airstrikes and as far as co op goes get some stealthier friends to play with.
