You gotta love Aaron and his perfect-PR-safe responses, dude that guy knows how to sell a crowd!
That number sounds more right than the last one that showed 50%, I just assumed that was way off but 1 in 3, still a lot of units out there that are getting the Red Ring of Death.....anyhow I still like my 360, as most gamers do - and a little technical problem isn't a bother!
I've never felt bad about paying the $50 a year for Xbox LIVE but I can see why some people may, however it does seem that the service is much more full-featured than PSN (not that PSN is bad - because it's free) but I can see why the author would think that PSN would not be worth the price of admission, and XBL would be....matter of opinion!
Game is freaking amazing looking - can't wait to hear more about the SP campaign later this year....WOW - good preview....
Even though it may be impossible for the Xbox 360 to ever gain serious ground in Japan it's still cool to think about the options MS has, great article guys!
YEP - I got to watch my buddy play through the entire SP campaign and it lasted MUCH longer than some other sites are saying, 8 hours easy....game is good and Firefight mode is unbelievably fun!
Good review....
Gotta agree with most of the games on this list, Operation Flashpoint, Darksiders, and Modern Warfare 2 all look fantastic....it's going to be an expensive Holiday season no matter which console you own!
Game is really good, nuff said....glad it came out before the crazy holiday rush of insane titles!
Personally for me the game is not as good as Guitar Hero 5, I just kind of got tired jamming to the Beatles music only, the graphics and presentation are super-epic though.....good review!
WOW, when looking at this list it really does show how powerful the Microsoft development partners are, no wonder the Xbox 360 is selling so much better than it's predecessor - most of those developers are top-tier and making A+ games for the 360 platform....nice article!
This article is just more reasons why it beats out the Sony PSN video service, add on the XBL video service with Netflix and it's not even a close comparison....the Wii is closer (insert sarcasm)!
This is so far my game of the year but I do wish some of the characters from your list were in the game, plenty of things to improve upon for the sequel but the game is still freaking amazing....well done!
Great list! I have to agree that the Xbox LIVE Arcade service has really taken off and some fantastic games were released over the past couple months, even more coming in the future. Real high-quality development stuff....Sony's PSN is doing OK but could definitely take some tips from XBLA and the way they are doing their high-quality titles!
Agree with this review 100%, game was fantastic and worth all the great scores it is getting from the journalists.....I got the 360 version but did anyone who tried both find any major differences (other than the Joker content - was that good/bad?) and if so which version was better, either way the game freaking rocks and all should go buy it ASAP!
I am planning on picking up a PS3 Slim sometime in the near future (I purchased the 60GB at launch) and the new form factor has given me a new reason to get behind Sony. I doubt that Microsoft will ever slim the 360 (as this article reminds us) but if they did I would be the first one in line.....oh well at least they dropped the price to compete more with Sony today - $299 for Elite!
Just downloaded the demo, game is OK (the art style is simply amazing) but nothing overly ambition as far as gameplay goes (aiming sucks)....good preview and I will def. be trying the full version in a few weeks when it hits store shelves!
Game is freaking amazing to play and easily the best XBLA experience I have ever played, the 5 hours for first playthrough is nothing compared to what you need to do to collect all of the unlockables.....great amount of replayability.
Everyone with a 360 should be picking this up on Wed, it's a bargain at $20....
If they dropped the price of the Elite to $299 and the Arcade was $199 which of the two would most people purchase? And if you already have an Arcade/Pro that is working fine would you upgrade to the $299 Elite model?
It would be impossible to keep both the Pro and Elite units on store shelves if both boxes are identical in color, this is the end for the Pro unit and Elite will find a price-drop; just wait!
Great list, gotta agree with the Modern Warfare choice - no doubt!
