They made the size of the box way too big, it doesn't fit on normal sized record storage units.
The Wii U is sort of a mid-gen console like the Dreamcast, though. The NX will be Nintendo's current-gen console.
Xbox One, considering they're the only current-gen console with backwards compatibility.

The isolation aspects and serious tone of Tomb Raider would do Uncharted well. As amazing as Uncharted is, it takes more cues from old Hollywood adventure movies then it does poignant story beats.

That's definitely not true. The general public wasn't even aware of Halo until Halo 2, and Halo 3 was a global phenomenon that saw tons of cross-branding with merchandise and even PepsiCo.
People thought Star Wars would be a B-movie in the style of Roger Corman and that Star Trek would be a night time soap opera cancelled in a season, so anything is possible when it comes to science fiction.
Still my favorite third-party game of last-gen.
