They're doing a much better job marketing this in Japan.
Yes and Double Fine are the worst offenders yet. Releasing a game in two parts for absolutely no reason other than to make more money was pathetic.
It's the direction they should be going in. Imagine how awesome a Jak and Daxter or Crash Bandicoot film would be, for instance.

Honestly, I want to say yes, but the answer in my heart is no. This series was a product of its time and as much as we want to recapture the amazing feeling of playing this game today, it's just not possible now.

And Transistor was a PS4 console exclusive, so not sure what parallel you're trying to draw there.
