I understand where you are coming from. It "would" be more news worthy if it has some legs (Staying power) which I doubt in the Japanese market.

I disagree, based on the way the 360 has been performing in the past, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE expected the 360 to beat the PS3 in Japan even it only for 1 week. Especially hardcore PS3 fans, however these same fans would have expected the PS3 to beat the 360 in the US especially with the 80 gig bundle selling so well.
Therefore to me, the 360 beating the PS3 by 13,000 in one week in japan is not only a surprise, but it is also more news worthy.

The article's title was headlined by "PS3 beats Xbox 360; Wii No. 1 in U.S." Yet the 360 beat the PS3 in Japan with a sales increase of 289%.
I think the 360 beating the PS3 (fluke or not) by 13,000 plus in JAPAN in one week is a bigger story than the PS3 beating the 360 by 20,000 in one month in the US.
This comment is not saying anything bad about either console, it's aimed at the angle punch jump chose to take with doing their little weekly review. ...

To be honest with you, I really don't know what your dislike for G4 is about. Perhaps you feel they unfairly support one system over the other. Perhaps you feel that they are not carrying enough shows about gaming, I honestly don't really care to know. But I will say this, it's not a question of using "G4" as a yardstick.

When you look at Halo, it carried high marks in all of the gaming categories. It's like a person winning 2 gold medals and placing 4th 6th and 9th in other events. The you have another having 1 gold, 2 bronze, and 3 silvers. The ladder person is overall better. i.e. halo3. (Sorry, kinda in the olympic spirit.)
I beg to differ that G4 is pointed more toward Nintendo fans. For a long time nintendo has be associated with younger gamers. If you watch the programs that are on g4 (Attack of the Show, Ninja Warrior, XPlay, and others) you would know that it's hardly trying to appeal to the younger crowd. AOT has sexual puns and all types of adultish content, that a traditional nintendo users (Younger) would not be allowd to view.

In all actuallity, the awards were handed out based on the vote pledged by people. It doesn't matter if it was G4, MTV, or CNN all they did was report the results of the votes.

Okay, being that July isn't quite over yet I would thing that June numbers are pretty current. Besides, why do you need the most acurate numbers as you put it when they already told you the time from. It's impossible to give up to the day numbers in a moving market.

Guys, by all means, don't miss interpret what I am saying. I already know he prefers the PS3; even had he not said it in previous shows. It's pretty obvious which system he prefers.
The point I was trying to make was, he likes to say that he isn't bias and likes both systems. And that may be true, (although I don't buy it.) but his actions doesn't support his statement.

Yo, I like the show, was pretty entertaining. However, you do have a bit of a bias slant toward Sony. You may own both consoles, but you are still a bit sony biased, which is cool, you just need to admit it.
