Adding the "Wii" part onto it makes it sound like an upgraded Wii, basicaly a HD Wii with a new controler
I think they are only adding the Wii to get the attention of the casual audience again, or at least try to. I think Nintendo know the casual audience might not be as quick to buy the Wii U like they did with the Wii so they are trying to place the core and casual close to their ches...

I'm not an "Uncharted" fanboy, I like Uncharted I just think in my opinion they are two differen't games and I'm sick of them being compared to one another and the whole "who did what first" when really Uncharted looked at other types of mediafor their main inspiration, not just Tomb Raider

I don't think it's as gimmick like as the Wiis controls but it's something I feel gamers will get bored of and revert back to the controler options they always have. For example if you can touch your pad to bring up a map in the game peop...

They need a standard controler option for most core gamers who don't want to buy into the new gimmick they have or will ger bored of it later on down the line like the Wii's controls.
I really want to play the new Super Smash Bros game with a Game cube like controller, playing Brawl with my old Game cube control was amazing, the Wii controls just didn't feel right

I don't see why they didn't have a prequel featuring Lucy and Abstergo is putting her in the Aminus to see if the machine works before they get it to Desmond. That would of solved the whole female situation without the need of adding a new character.

"Oh a new Wii...well we already have a working Wii no point wasting money on a new one"
