On the other hand, people are still playing Marvel vs Capcom 2 a decade after its release, and in all likelihood, Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be yet another classic that gamers will be playing for years to come.
Capcom makes classics. Guerrilla Games made two mediocre games for PS2, one good game for PS3 and a bunch of crap games for Gameboy.

As long as they're PS2 caliber in terms of longevity, gameplay complexity and graphics, I don't think this is an issue.
