See what happens when Sony pisses off hackers by going after them instead of just patching there vulnerabilities. Sony deserves everything that they get. The people who are hurt most are the average gamer who has nothing to do with such things. Now Sony not only has to still deal with pissed off hackers. I am sure alot of first party devs and close third party devs have a ballpark figure on what the specs for the ps4 will be. So it wouldn't suprise me if some have already started working on launch titles now. I bet actual hardware aka dev kits will go out next year shortly after E3 when i think Sony will unveil ps4 for the first time. With a launch window around fall 2013. I hope sucker punch is starting up doing just that!
The guy that wrote this article sounds like he wants a whole new game. He sounds like a kid with A.D.D who doesn't have any patience at all to change up his camo or sit long enough to watch a cut scene. He should stray away from MGS and play something with short cutscenes and short campaign.
All these analysts think sony and microsoft both won't release til 2014 is a freaking joke. I bet anything we see prototypes of both systems at next years E3 2012. Followed by no later than fall 2013 release date. As far as this year sony will be focused on the NGP at E3 and Microsoft will be focused on pushing what the kinect can do over the next year. I guess i won't be buying anything from EA untill it hits the used bin. I guess xbox live users not only have to pay for live but now they have to pay again to play certain games. Yeah they are both just starting to make profits but from generation to generation Sony especially keeps supporting the last gen system long after the release of their next gen counterpart. If Nintendo does launch in fall of 2012 like most believe with the inevitable unveiling of the new system at E3 this year. Then You can bet Microsoft and Sony both won't allow them more than one full year to be on the market uncontested before they release their respective next gen system.

I don't think the Wii2 will catch the casual market as much as it did this gen. It was uncontested until the past year when Microsoft and Sony released their casual peripherals the move and kinect. Now that all three companies have an eye on the casual market i see it being a lot harder for them to reach even Wii's plateau of sales. As far as being exclusive thats great and all but the developers that are doing said exclusive haven't released a AAA title to date. I hope they can deliver a worthy exclusive none the less though.
It wouldn't be a whole new game. They just need to do a HD remake. I would even settle for PSN Socom Online HD version. I couldn't see adding all that with the new controls. It still wouldn't feel at all like past socom's other than the maps.I have bought all socom titles to date other than the psp versions. I'm as hardcore socom player as anyone. I am simple saying socom 4 in its current form is a slap in the face to the series itself.
Don't get me wrong socom 4 is a solid title in itself. I do however believe this game was made for a much broader audience. That in itself completely ruined this title from the get go. The Ps2 titles captured hardcore gameplay at its very best for a TPS title especially 1 & 2. They have all but eliminated the hardcore feel to the game and steep learning curve. Well by them stating that they will be the same. They aren't utilizing the full potential of ps3. So there for they won't be in the same boat quality wise as ps3 exclusives. MEaning the game will not be up there with the likes of exclusives graphically anyways.
I still am playing Peace Walker right now on psp. I would much rather have a port of that than a spin off in the mgs universe. As Kojima's team is doing the game it will be a well polished title regardless. Oh snap i wish Kojima would release a port of PW on NGP/PS3 with cross system save where you can continue on the go. Its not on people just using custom firmwares. There are alot of users who use it custom firmware cause they want to use what they paid for how they want without psn.
