How can you guys keep defending a company that screwed up royally over the past year? On how they handled things when the system was jail broken up until psn being hacked and taken down.It all boils down to the amount of blind fanboys on this site i guess. I have alot of Sony products and their game systems have been my system of choice since ps1. Sony has got alot of problems now because of those mistakes. Now they have a epic shit storm to get through when it could have been avoided if they...
I am fine playing offline games.. I am trying to tackle God Of War 3 on the Hardest difficulty and i am playing Ghost of Sparta on psp for a few before i crash in bed at night.
Blackburn you are officially a idiot in my book for saying i laugh at people that would have liked to have been informed sooner. Yes there is no getting around this shit storm Sony put upon themselves. They witheld information that is vital to some people when there info may or may not have been leaked at the time. You are a complete tool that doesn't have the brain power to comprehend why that it was such a bad thing that Sony didn't at least warn people so they could take precauti...
LOL oh snap Pachter is wrong oh 90% of the time! It really relieves me to hear that all coming from his dumb ass mouth.
I'm not one to call people names but you obviously can't comprehend what i am saying. I was obviously stating reasons as to why things led up to something like this happening. You piss off the wrong people and this is the result.
#1 Sony removing a feature that was standard with all systems at that point in time over a vulnerability that could not have be done by 99% of the psn userbase.
#2 After the keys were leaked by geohot and his custom firmware ...
It won't destroy sony as a company but it may impact future sales and make the existing fanbase far more cautious on what information they place in sony's hands.
Well its entirely Sony's fault for not letting anyone know early enough to take the steps to ensure people's safety in the matter. Its better to let someone know of a possible threat ahead of time not a week after the fact when major damage could have taken place during that time. We deserve to know ASAP to prevent any damage not wait until its too late. I know they had to bring someone in to investigate but knowing they shut things down the had to know things were bad from the get go...
Like most multi platform games they won't be all that much different. Ps3 might be better in some respects and the 360 might have the edge in other areas. I doubt one will be that much better than the other.
I am really on the fence for anything Sony rite now. I own all systems sony has released to date but it may end there. Its all about principle with me. Sony tryed to do the rite thing in thwarting hackers but they went about it the wrong way. The last thing you wanna do is piss off a bunch of hackers by taking some of the most respected ones to court. That caused a uprising of which completely f'd over psn users as well as sony themselves not to mention what started it all the removal of ...
Thats where your wrong. On the black market names, street adresses, phone numbers, cc info all are sought after on the black market.
Yeah everyone disagreeing with me last night by defending Sony. All you kiddies are in denial on how big this situation is. It doesn't upset me though cause those of you who brush things off like this as nothing big will one day get your A double s handed to you. It just amazes me there are that many dumb blind loyal fans of companies out there that no matter what said company does they always defend.
Yeah a ip from some random wifi hotspot. You think a hacker with the knowledge to do what they did would do something stupid like that and use their own ip address. LOL you gave me a good laugh!
A lot of people on here still defending sony. Grow up guys and face facts sony screwed up royally on this one. Quit being fanboys and defending a company that took features away on this system and then going after anyone who dare try to alter there system in any way. They then pissed off hackers to the point where we stand today. Losing 77 million psn users information and cc info. Sony should have focused more on security of their system and patching things up than going after people. Now ev...
@ blackburn5 They knew they had been breached. Thats why they shut down psn. If it wasn't a big damn deal they wouldn't have shut things down. You might be singing a different tune if you check your cc bill to find its been maxed out. when you could have prevented it from happening by taking action at a earlier point.
Sony knew things were breached thats why they shut down psn entirely. I was stating that since they knew it had been breached but not knowing to what extent. They still needed to let psn users know that its possible there information was at risk. A Warning would suffice while they continued looking into the matter.
Here is an example for you seeing as you obviously didn't get my point. There is severe weather going on in your area and the Meteorologist knows the storm fix...
NO EXCUSE!!! What so ever that they didn't know until Monday. When they first noticed psn was breached they should always think the worst and prepare users rite away for could have possible been obtained. As an old saying goes."Its better to be safe then sorry." They could have atleast been on the safe side and let us know, but they instead waited untill confirmation in which case there is likely to be some users that end up on the sorry side of things having identity stolen or ...
I swear this website is full of teenage kids with a hard on for anything sony. It doesn't matter what sony does you all will follow them like blind brain washed robots. I own a psx/psp/ps2/ps3 but i am severely shaken in my stance on how i view Sony as a company after all that has taken place. Wake up people and quit with the fanboy crap this thing is much bigger than that.
#1 The day psn was shut down warning of possible leaked user information should have been made public.
So people could take the proper action to protect themselves.
#3 Well the FUD so to speak was going to happen regardless why not atleast warn your psn users. This only made them look worse by not doing so. I for one would like to know as soon as possible.
#4 Yeah psn was hacked they were gonna get negative feedback regardless. Now though its gonna b...
You really think sony did the rite thing in this situation? They didn't warn anyone for a week on what might have possibly happened. You always prepare for the worst and they left us in the dark not knowing what was going on. They could of let us know psn was breached and they are looking into the situation that we may need to contact credit card companies to guard against this type of thing. Now a week later you me or anyone else that had credit card information on there could have alrea...
Well seeing as i don't plan on buying anything looks as if this is useless for me :( Not a ps plus member...
