there is only two games that I have regretted playing in my life time, advent rising and lair(pre control fix)
1. advent rising-when i bought this game I thought it was going to be good and it was until 1/3 into the game where something about the story p!ssed me off(when i say P!ssed, I mean it. I personally declare it to be the worst game I have ever played!).

I've seen ugly and this went beyond ugly.
I have to say, we need to stop putting so much empathize on graphics. graphics are the icing on the cake, It's the gameplay that matters.
@crab, all fanboys are bad. In the end, fanboys gain nothing except maybe an increased ego and a few pounds :D. seriously though, fanboys are thier own worst enemy because they are blind to thier favorite consoles faults. I rather be a gamer and see the gaming world without fanboy goog...
I hope it's not as bad as the second one. the second one felt too arcade like. I'm going to rent this(or download a demo if there is one)to see if I'll like it but from what I see so far, it looks good.

to me, it's the atmosphere and psychological aspects which makes horror games scary.
speaking of horror, I remember this horror computer game when I was little. you started out in front of this haunted mansion and to control the main character, you tell him to do something through typing (i.e. look under the pumpkin). does anyone remember the name of that game?
