You know what's also pretty good is Battlefield 1943 on XBLA and PSN. SOOO addicting
You're right, it's not even up for debate. I had the Wii U for like 2 weeks and then I realized how stupid I was. Other than a new Pikmin game and maybe Zelda or something, there's no point in me spending $400 for a console I KNOW I will hardly play ever when something that is WAYYYY more powerful like Nextbox and PS4 is in my living room.
The tablet screen thing is amazing tech, but it's easily replicable if Microsoft and Sony choose to go that way as well, ...
I don't think Microsoft is worried though, I have a feeling all that money we've been pooling towards them for the last 7 years has been going to some good development for a total overhaul of XBL, much like a car in the auto industry:
XBL has seen it's UI improvements and such over the years, just like a model refresh in cars, and every 5-8 years, cars get totally new designs and tech, which I believe is logical for XBL now that Sony has a comparable/somewhat supe...
PS+ is hard to argue against, this coming from an XBL guy
IGN! God do some people have great commenting abilities on that website.
Yeah, I can see GDC making sense from a Business strategy perspective. The leaks are already starting to kind of come true so if anything more leaks right before E3 could kind of steal the thunder a bit from an unveil. GDC would work up to E3 quite nice because Sony and Microsoft could at least unveil the console, say a little about specs or something so that at E3 they can dive right in and already have a bit of a hype machine rolling.
It all comes down to what is the best M...
Really? I guess I wouldn't know being only an English speaker myself but from my perspective it sounded amazing and added some believability to the setting
AGREE. I just am way too attached with fond memories of ACI and ACII. I LOVE the settings that are way back like those ones. So far I find the China, Japan, and French ones to be the most interesting to me. It's just the time periods that they could use for each respective place is such a cool time in history and the way everything looks.
I really wasn't a fan of ACIII at all, needless to say I guess.
Solid_warlord is right. My friend and I were GOING NUTS when we saw the 2005 demo for Killzone and couldn't believe how amazing it looked. That sure didn't happen. I agree that that was a huge mistake, the other tech demo I remember was the one with like elephants and stuff (it looked like an African safari or something). Those animals looked real as well, and well PS3 was nowhere near that in reality.
What the Wii was to this Gen
The Wii U is to Next Gen
Lol @ Summons75's comment: "I want a great price point 300 being the highest maybe 350".
Sorry but I just don't see that happening. Yeah when PS3 released in Canada and my buddy and his dad bought one for $650 that was insane for the time, but I am sorry to say that I feel like Sony and Microsoft will BOTH release in a higher range than $300. There's just no way if us gamers want a kickass console that blows this gen out of the water that it will be arou...
Yeah this whole iPad thing is dumb. I could never spend that kind of money for myself, especially in this time period where saving money is key so that I can be able to afford both Nextbox and PS4/orbis etc lol
Finally someone with some sense. A lot of retards in N4G it would seem hey
Hah, people and this whole stealing mii's BS. They even said that for the original Xbox they had a big vision that included avatars and the cloud some day and a bunch of other stuff. I'm pretty sure they didn't blatantly "steal the mii" idea as well
I can't help but always do a Facepalm when I read things like this. Without trying to be rude I just think that saying something like that is silly really. The whole point of motion this gen was almost like the start of a looooong term project. It's highly unlikely anyone will come up with the "perfect motion gaming solution" any time soon but in the mean time we can strive to find ways to make this tech work and in great ways. We can only do this through learning and experi...
I know this is a little debatable based on timing and coincidence but at least on 4 or 5 occasions while at a local Future Shop I saw at least 2 or 3 groups of parents looking for the "xbox thing with the kinect" and picking up games to go along with it as Christmas gift this past Christmas. So ultimately, at least in Canada I find it hard to believe that "NPD is lying" or something like that. Microsoft has a firm stranglehold in my area generally speaking and it seems to ...
I agree. Also, I find Phil Harrison's words to be good words overall really in regards to what he says at the end. He welcomes competition just like I do as a consumer, because in the end it allows the industry to compete to create products that better each other with each successive new idea etc.
**Microsoft holds all the cards, yes.
In response to some of the comments above by Miyamoto etc they are in a GREAT position come next gen especially with all the acquisition of developers and such. There's no denying that overall, Microsoft has done way better this gen than Sony. I mean, I like Sony and wanna see them succeed too, but from a business perspective they have struggled a bit to get things off the ground for them, so overall, Microsoft is economically a lot s...
How is that disrespectful? Especially if none of these games will be backward compatible why would a dev release a game on the 360 at this point in time.
Not sure what you're talking about but only just since the kinect came out alongside the new console has it been $200 in Canada anyways. It has NEVER been that cheap way back in 2008
