I totally agree with you. This is the reason why I like Ninrendo games. They don't look real or play real. It makes innovation in games easier.
Good graphics aren't necessary but a very welcome addition to games. It's the same with story in games. You don't need a story in a game in order it to be fun e.g Minecraft.

It would be cool but would it accually make the game more fun. You can say the same about storylines in games. They don't make a game more fun but it's a nice addition. Making this more visualy more ipressive is a good addition to movies because movies is all about the visual experience. Games are about entertainment and that's why I don't like vr. First person rpg and racing games could be awesome fun with vr but with mario, zelda it doesn't fit.

I can see how vr would make rpg games more fun because of the exploring. Other wise It's hard for me to beleave how vr can make games more fun (fun gameplay). Please explain to me if you know how to convince me (I'm a nintendo fan).
Nintendo fans (including me) don't care as much. I still think it is awesome with 1080p but 720p would do good to.
I don't beleave that any of the vr headsets are good. I'm sure that they will be awesome and make games more real but is that what we want? I want fun games and I can't see how vr can improve on that. Vr could accually make some games worse.
scissor_runner you are 100% right! Nintendo knows what this gen needs. Gamers today only care about graphics and story (Nintendo fans arediffernt though). If every dev listen and did what gamers wanted, the gaming industry would fall
You can allways get new customers without loosing any old ones. Nintendo will allways make games and hopfully consoles but I dont see why they shouldn't try new areas. Nintendos future qol products are not for gamers. Does that mean that Nintendo doesn't listen to their fans? No. They try to create new fans but very differnt ones indeed.
