While I think it's been a decent year for gaming, quite literally most of what I was anticipating was pushed into 2016. Dark Souls 3 is happening for sure in a few months. But is Zelda, Last Guardian, FFXV and Kingdom Hearts going to make it in before the end of the year? Is everyone announcing games too early? Do they even have a choice with all these leaks?
It may be something out of their control, but I'm still a little upset how often it's down for a paid service. It may have to do with the fact that they sold a lot more PS4's than they were predicting and it's after the holidays when people are finally home from vacation with all their new games.
Well, I loved it. It's got a soul. That's more than can be said for the last three releases.
Down for me. I'll stop after the next boss in the Bloodborne DLC so I can help all my bros with beckoning bells.
In the first phase, just shoot her when she's about to attack and get your visceral. Rinse and repeat. Second and third phases, stay close and dodge to the side instead of dodging back. Boom. No problem. Beast Roar also helps. I had a blast helping people out with her. Must have gotten around 30 Vermin.
And now it's going to be strange having 1.5 and 2.5 HD only on PS3 but Dream Drop Distance HD available on PS4. They might as well just release 1.5 and 2.5 on PS4 and Xbox One.
I was already disappointed when they announced there was no single player campaign. Disappointed enough to decide not to buy it. And for the best, really. I know the game is pretty and it's Star Wars, but $60 for such meager content isn't a practice I feel I should be funding with my hard earned cash.
This article seems to be mistitled, having more to do with morality systems than the definition of a role-playing game. And ultimately, it just reads like a plug for Undertale. I'm sure Undertale is a fine game, but I don't appreciate mislabeled content. Better titles for the piece: "How Undertale Gets Morality Systems Right" or "How An Indie Title Outshines Every AAA Choice-Driven RPG". Not so hard.
After reading the article, it's very likely the video in question is just a new ad for Twilight Princess HD.

The N64 is a beefcake compared to the PS1. The PS1 had an advantage with its disc storage which could hold some bigger textures (although their was no texure filtering as was default on the n64 so this is hit or miss) and it could hold fully orchestrated music and FMV. However, the N64 could handle more polygons on the screen, it accurately rendered polygons so characters and walls didn't constantly morph and wiggle like on the PSX, as stated the N64 has build in t...

I'm aware. Thus the "their share of good releases" bit. We're seeing great titles coming in a bit slower with some more profit driven titles in between. I feel it's reasonable to say this is likely because they're making some great stuff to fill a two device launch year, that's all. And I would be thrilled to be correct. I feel like the Wii U would have done a lot better with a stronger launch line-up. In the end, I just want Nintendo to do well. I feel like they...
Nintendo's just swimming to shore until the NX comes out. I really don't think this year and the next being a bit lackluster (still having their share of good releases, mind you) are an indication of Nintendo's average operation. Their top tier first party teams are busy working on games they can't even talk about yet. In the meantime, we're going to see some DLC heavy money machines and amiibo-centric games to keep the investors happy before their big console and handheld...
An Egyptian theme would be great. If you lump in some overall Mesopotamian influence you'd have just as diverse and rich material to work with as the medieval influence on Dark Souls. To be fair though, there's a bit of Egypt and Greece already scattered around Dark Souls and its sequel.
But hell, look at what Bloodborne did with 19th century Europe.
I'm sure Dark Souls 3 is going to be amazing. From what we've already seen I see the color and vibrancy of Demon's Souls, the deliberate animations and complex level design of Dark Souls and the engine and influenced speed of Bloodborne. It looks like a culmination of all their previous efforts and is poised to make an excellent closing chapter.
But I would be sad if they stopped making action-RPG's. They really fill a void in the market place. Other action-r...
It really depends whether 4k takes off. If so, consoles are going to have to at least support a 2k standard along with more detailed models and better lighting to make a visually apparent bump from the last generation even when footage is shrunk back down to 1080p 30fps with compression artifacts.
Even at the rate components are getting cheaper, I think the next generation of consoles are going to come with a heftier price tag. This generation may need more time like PS3/360...
@Crimzon
You're honestly saying the game has enthusiastic fans merely because it's exclusive to PS4? Come on, now. The fact is that the game doesn't run at 10fps, it just jitters a bit from time to time. No one's disagreeing they'd like to see it fixed, but your hostility towards the game's fans is unwarranted. Honestly it sounds like you only have a PC or Xbox One and harbor some bitterness over Bloodborne's exclusivity.
You know,...
I think they're right back on track. I loved the FFXV demo, Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally happening and FFVII Remake is something that actually exists. I'm not like the purists, I don't mind them moving away from turn based combat. I never played Final Fantasy for the turn based combat system, I played them for the characters, the world and the adventure. Besides, Braverly Default is a great series for people who like that retro combat.
