I'd like to see it on both like Twilight Princess was. People that have a Wii U will get their full Zelda experience and the NX will have a strong launch title. Best of both worlds.
Rumors or not, you have no idea whether it's arriving in 2016 or not. It very well may be. In the last interview with Nintendo's president, he didn't mention Wii U or 3DS at all. Just thought I'd point that out. Sources:

I like the game for what it is. It's trying to be a sprawling open world game like Elder Scrolls but with refined third-person action-rpg combat. And it succeeds for the most part. The story is pretty empty and the world is kind of generic. But man, there just aren't many games that play like it while retaining that kind of scope. The mounting system is particularly memorable. Honestly, I just want it to get a proper sequel (not an MMO) to see how they could evolve the world and refin...
Those screenshots look worse than Super Mario 3D World. They look like PS1 FMV's. And who wants a dark gritty Mario? If you want a dark and grimy looking game why would you even be interested in Mario? I've seen you make this same post with the same screenshots. Do you literally have those bookmarked for when an article like this come along?
What's with the noses? Why is the new thing to give turtles noses and lips? They looked fine in the live action film. They looked fine in the 80's cartoon. They looked fine in the 90's cartoon. They looked fine in TMNT. Honestly, why?
I'm not saying not to be angry, Foxtrot. Rightfully, if this isn't a rumor, you should be. But rest assured that the general public wouldn't let Nintendo get away with amiibo integration getting as bad as you've described. Ninty needs all the good PR they can get. Even Gamexplain ripped them a new one for how lazy and pointless Mario Tennis on Wii U was. Even Nintendo fanboys have their limits.
I wanted to like this game, but the combat is pathetic compared to Pokemon. Instead of telling your monsters what you want them to do, the monsters just attack on their own while the player is relegated only to switching them out and playing the occasional mini-game to do special moves, curatives and buffs.
Of course they don't need combat. However, they need a fail state. One needs to be able to lose for it to be a game. It's the ever-present threat of that fail state that propels the player to learn the ins and outs of the gameplay and become engrossed in the experience. This is where I feel a few little developers go off the rails and make interactive experiences instead of video games.
My wishlist for NX:
1. Powerful APU that outspecs PS4 and Xbox One (afterall, this one will be competing with PS5 and Xbox 0 at some point)
2. Unified account system between all Nintendo devices.
3. Online stays free.
4. Dual analog controller with quality buttons.
5. X86 architecture that invites third party AAA and indies alike to bring their games to the system.
6. Something unique and spe...
@nitus
Quite a few 3DS games have patches and it works just fine.
I hope it isn't delayed. I'm pumped for this game. I loved the demo.
Let's just be frank about the facts here. They aren't 'upresing' these games. They aren't even porting them. They're emulating them. It's just an in-house emulator. This comes will all the little hiccups of emulation like the graphical glitches in the PS4 version of Dark Cloud and the now highly aliased FMV's. I don't think this is much of a problem and overall I think it's worth it for the higher resolution, but a lot of commentators here seem misinfor...
Probably not much. Even with the Wii U's poor sales, Nintendo only went into the red for a year. People think console sales are far more integral to the company's overall profit than they actually are, and even so Nintendo doesn't sell its hardware at a loss meaning every small sale generates profit. On top of that, Nintendo has a wealth of world renown IP's that they can make a killing off of with just licensing and merchandise. Nintendo knows how to make money. As long as th...
Of course I've tried it. I have the fastest internet available in my area and the input lag made the game unplayable.
Consoles and capable gaming PC's aren't going anywhere. I still can't believe I'm seeing all these comments about exclusively streaming video games. Have you used PSNow? Have you streamed a video game? It doesn't work. Even with the best connection, the input lag is more than noticeable and the image quality is inferior even to last gen. We are the buying audience. We are not interested in a streaming console. PC and consoles that natively produce images with a capable GPU...
Yeah, probably. I wonder what Nintendo is going to do, though.
Sounds fine to me. Some of my favorite games like Sonic the Hedgehog 2, The Ball, Portal and Super Mario World only take a few hours to beat.
I really want a UI clean up. Adjustable icon size and folders would be nice. Something more like the 3DS UI, really.
I realize it's expensive hardware, but $600? It's unlikely there will be floor demos when the hardware is that pricey. That means people will likely only be able to try it if they have a wealthy enthusiast for a friend. And besides, it's not like VR was going to replace standard displays anyway. Even if it were to be affordable and popular, it was always going to be niche. If PSVR isn't at or under $400, then I'm calling it: VR is going to be a flop. Downvote me now, but c...
Wah wah. Keep crying about it.
