Nothing stops Sony from launching their own version of a PS4 Slim and completely rip the Xbox One a new one.
Dropping price off the current Xbox One is the only way they make sales. If they are to provoke Sony into making a slim... and dropping their price on a console that's already has phenomenal sales... it's just going to sell a whole lot more.

I ain't gonna increase the number of sales for your console/platform.
Maybe the amount of sold games for the game on that console might increase, at least from those who already own both consoles and are impatient to get them, but never makes it a system seller.
Hell, they should stop buying out 3rd party games.
Focus on 1st party games since it only pisses more people off than anything else.

@Abriael Really? Well, I haven't checked prices in a while. I bought my 1.5TB before the PS4 came out and 2TB was kinda hard to find, except in Europe.
But yeah, if the price is under 100$, then yeah it is a rip off, especially since they only give you 200$ for your console anyway.
470$ is actually a great deal. A 1.5 TB HDD is over 100$ and the 2TB is significantly more expensive.
