Don't forget how there are 28 million 360 owners out there. I still can't figure out what SE is thinking. Just because there is a large base of owners doesn't mean there is a large amount of audience.

The fact that SE promised FFXIII to be exclusive on the PS3 and then made it multiplatform was a huge disappointment. SE went on about how it will take advantage of the PS3 only to turn there make to try and appeal to an audience where JRPG fans are almost nonexistent.

Let's look at it this way, if SE continues to go downhill. Sony can easily buy them out. But seriously, I don't know why SE keeps biting the hand that feeds and adore the one that keeps slapping them silly.
If SE pulls off anything stupid again this year at E3, I'm not sure how many true fans will they have remaining.
It is well written but it's kind of pointless to make speculations out of a really old demo. Aside from that, we don't know how far SE dumb downed FFXIII just so it would be an easier port to the 360.
As we have seen with many PS3 exclusives, the potential is enormous but many multiplatform titles never seem to go past half way as titles like Uncharted, KZ2, MGS4, etc.
I don't mind if the company chooses to support one side but seriously at least support the right side. I don't know what Wada is thinking, you can't seriously make money if you bite the hand that feeds.
Look at Kojima, he choose to support where the fans are and sold millions of copies worldwide.

Seriously, most of the people who want FFXIII got a PS3 or have intention of buying a PS3. Why should millions of gamers suffer a delay for a few more people to play the game?
Help they need, indeed. It's like saying they can strike out the familiar batter with whatever they throw but the moment a better batter comes out hitting all their throws, THQ suddenly refuses to admit they suck and come up with a new approach to coding.
I don't know what you are talking about but Sony updates have definitely improve gaming experiences over time. There is Homes, many might not think of it as a gaming experience but it's definitely something a lot of PS3 owners do check out. It has added trophies, chatroom, ability to take in game screenshot, ability to recorded and a few other fix here and there with more to come. Also, often time the gaming experience is improve with game developers updating their games with patches.

Any gamer can tell you the PS3 is quite a beast of a gaming console.

Well, Kojima did say that if the team making MGS5 uses any of his idea, he will have to work on it. So, I guess they went ahead and used his idea. Kojima is screaming out but they just keep pulling him back in. (assuming mgs5 is true).
It makes me want to get the game but I've already have more than enough games.
Actually, MGS4 sold around similar numbers to the other MGS games. This can only mean MGS4 is mostly bought by fan. MGS4 has always been for the fan not exactly targeting new audience.

I do think a slim will come out eventually but it's too soon IMO.
I say give the PS3 another 2 or 3 years, then it would be a better time for the slim. After all, Sony still can make a price cut to attract more buyers. Once Sony can no longer make more price cut, then it's time for the slim.
I see nothing wrong with appealing to the western market but the problem is that they are appealing to the wrong crowd of western market.
I know many who purchased a PS3 who are waiting for JRPG. There are a lot of PS3 owners out there in the West and many of them are fans of JRPG. I think it's pretty obvious where the money is.
