This is a PCgame first and a console game second. The PC version is 20 % faster and will look better than any of the console versions. Also the Xbox 360 version WAS being developed and was at the same "build" as the PC/ps3 verion in march. Then they put the 360 version aside to concentrate on the pc version and get the ps 3 version done.
The game has a retarded inteface though, something we have you console tards to thank for.

I play crysis in dx9 on HIGH 1280x1024 with 2x aa. Fps is between 30-40.

I have a e6600 @ stock, 4 gb corsair ram, 8800gtx slightly overclocked and the game is installed on my raptor. I payed 1400 € for my system (bought everything except PSU which i already had) a couple of months back. And thats less then i payed for my tv + consoles.

The lightning in this game really looks awesoem, but things made out of wood, bushes and vegetation looks like plastic to me. Like th supports for the wooden bridge in the screenshots.
Also the textures are good, not great, but that can be because im a PC player and used to really crisp and properly shaded textures.

Oh and in the early screens/videos they had motionblur on the weapon(which made no sense since it moves with the players view) and that has been changed to the demo version so thats why the weapon in the "old" screen looks kinda funky

This is a PC game.
The X360 version will not be released for another 6 months after the Pc version goes gold. Also it may not be the same game.
RAM has never been cheaper then it is now. A good gfx card costs ~half of a current gen console. Installing games isnt a chore. Youll have that 5 mina back times ten with shorter loadtimes...
Consoles do NOT have the upper hand in resolution.
I cant even remember the last time i played a game on my pc with such a low res as 720p. The standard (read old) 4:3 lcd resolution is 1280x1024 which is higher than most games on either of the two current gen consoles.
And take a look at the article posted on N4G the other day that tells you what to buy to get a comp that manages all the newest games in decent settings for about the same price as a console.
I disagree. Without the ability to choose its all "an adventure on a rail". Sure you could Look at it they way your saying but then everythings an rpg, from halflife to Colin mcrae Dirt.

Yes it should. I dont know how Epic has intergrated mouse and keyboard into the PS3 version, but i do belive it wont be as precise as the PC version. Why? The PS3 version is slower, mouse precision in a slower version och ut3 vs handcontrollers will be slaughter.
After hours playing the beta demo i cant even begin to imagine a player with an ordinary controller keeping up with other players at the speed the game is played.

Japanese RPGs arent even rpgs by definition.
Theyre Adventure games. Your actions have no or little impact on the world (outside the main story), there is little to no choice involved, your character is often set in stone, so you cant choose wich way to go at lvl ups etc.
Dont get me wrong, i like many Japanese games but none of them are as deep gameplaywise as a real western RPG (Baldurs gate 1/2, Nwn 2)

Its awesome. It makes you stop several times just to look at things. The amount of detail is crazy. like when you shoot at a barrel with oil it slowly drains unitl it has reached the level of the hole, then stops. Shoot a lower hole and ittl start flowing from that. Noting big but i find its those little things that separate something new from the same old shooter.

Look it up, the PC sells more games than ANY other plattform. Here in Sweden it sells more than ALL OTHER plattforms combined.
All consoles have their sales put together the put up against PC sales since they are so much more massive than any other plattform.
