Max 3.5 million each of ps4 and Xbox one's I calculate will be available this year.
Some people are calculating 2-3 million each per month will be produced? i don't think so, as plenty of sources have stated 1 million a month is max capacity, also it takes 2 weeks for the console to reach stores/storage from completion.
Either way its gonna be a bumper gaming year if you can get hold of one

Cant see it being before mid November,production cant fully be ramped up till Sept and if it did come out say Oct that would mean roughly 1.5m Playstations for launch (1m per month from Sept and a few hundred thousand beforehand).
As it takes roughly 2 weeks for systems to arrive in shops from production, and that's without any production problems.
Weve seen no pics of any Playstation production as of yet.
Personally I think its all getting tested behind closed doo...

Got to say looking from the outside in it seems as though the Xbox One is technically inferior to the PS4 on paper, however, Microsoft have not yet released the official full spec of the console and can always be subject to change,(as can Sony) also nobody really knows what impact the cloud will have.

The shading/bluring of gears beats them in my view.ps3 never had the software to compete for years,and when it did it took them 6 years to find a way.
Simply the difference between a hardware company and software.
The move engines and esram will play a huge part in performance,hence why sheer brawn/power does not always mean better.
Example does the car with the biggest engine always get the fastest lap on top gear?
