I still play it....love this game! A work of art...exceptional!
No it isn't...i didn't mean customizable....i meant scalable engines to go with future hardware upgrades like accessories that automatically will enhanched the graphics for all games on the next gen consoles when future upgrades are inserted(something resembling the N64 memory upgrade addon back in the day but with games made before the upgrade also affected by the extra memory: upwards and downwards compatibility). Not like a custom composite console(that would be like a compound PC ...
It's quite plausible that this is the case for the next gen...it fits with the Microsoft X-Engine rumor 1.5 years ago(that all Xbox titles from the end of 2010 till now obligatory have been build upon an Engine that can be scaled) Better hardware/more ram automatically enhances graphics of existing games: higher res textures/higher framerates/better shaders/better physics/more objects/longer view distance for example(cause they've been build on the scalable X-Engine already and games ...
Brilliant game, loved every minute of it, Heavenly Sword was also great!! Andy Serkis and Ninja Theory are match made in Heaven! In my book it's definitely a 9.
At least Crysis enemies HAVE AI...the whole CoD serie including BrokenOps have fake scripted endless spawning shooting gallery enemies including ur fake AI buddies on ur own team...
People just can't stop making superficial negative remarks about this great game....it stinks....and BF3 from the looks of the latest longer videos isn't the leap in graphics and gameplay it was made out to be in the 1st short sneak preview...i do not doubt it will be an awesome though...just not worth mentioning against Crysis....against CoD BlackOps it is a valid argument.
then that's just a matter of opinion...the game is far from crap..the game is beautiful and i like the grainy look and the wavy lines in the suits helmet display are there to emphasise the suit being damaged, gives it a distinct look that set it's apart from other games...but why the extra negativite superfluous and superficial remarks?
Thanks for writing that comment DrHouse...BrokenOps is just a fake pre-baked scripted cardboard filmset corridor shooter with endless loops of spawning enemies that do not have ANY A.I. and a weak story that pretends to be cool and is loosely based on Stuart Black's PS2 shooter 'Black'(which is still 10x cooler)...Crysis 2 is in a league of it's own and a fresh welcome wind in the FPS genre...
Great article!
What's tators precious? U have mistaken Germans for the Dutch from The Netherlands(little Country on the west border of Germany, used to be a provence of Germany where they spoke a German dialect called Netherdeutsch)...Crytek is from Frankfurt-Germany and Guerrilla Games from Amsterdam-The Netherlands.
Exactly...it's these spoiled rotten Elite Geeks who keep downplaying All versions and focus on ANY little detail in the game...i've never seen a game that has been so entirely scrutinized and critisized....THE GAME IS CLASS!!! Crysis 1 had so much more glitches and i still loved, Crysis 2 running on consoles is a joy to play...a hard needed fresh wind in the FPS area and these stupid whining elite geek stories are unjustifiable hurting Crysis 2....people get all prejudiced by the men...
This reviewer focuses on the novel accomplished technical marvel that is Crysis 2 on console..and acknowledges it's faults, but sees them being overwhelmed by so much goodness in the product that in the end those little faults do not matter. Geez people...look back in ur collection and replay some games...all of them are loaded with bugs and glitches, but there hasn't been so much bashing on those games as there is now on Crysis 2...its a great accomplishment to fit such a beautifu...
Exactly, it's amazing that they could fit this game with its wide variety of textures and huge scale worlds onto a tiny DVD...goes to show what developers Crytek are!
if i remember correctly the unified shaders architecture in the Xbox360 was ahead of the curve back in 2005....it was a novel prototype chipset architecture and all PC Graphics Cards got that architecture not until 1.5 years later, likewise the GDDR3 memory in the 360, PC didn't have GDDR3 dimms in 2005, so Xbox360 was the most advanced piece of hardware when it launched in 2005...it was an exception to the rule that consoles drag behind PC hardware...I hope MS/AMD/IBM/Intel/Sony will impl...
And Crytek was solely responsible for the industries progress and profits in hardware upgrades? if PC gamers really cared about Crytek and the industry, why didn't most of the PC games buy the game, instead of pirating it?
Hell yes!
Exactly, that's just the way it is.
I completely agree with the OG!
Enjoy dude!
Deliberate misleading title or an error in judgement or a trolling journalist...Tim Sweeney loves new console hardware but is against spinning mechanical disc media...flashcards/memorycards (like the NPG is going to use for instance) or SSDs and full installs of games is the way to go because of the acces times.
