It's not what Sony said...it's the circumstancial evidence => http://community.us.playsta... and http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2... plus the reveal of the NPG interface and their plans for the ecosystem PSN/PS3/NPG/PSsuite(and where the market is heading)...Microsof...

a full webkit browser coming, i already said this in the last post on Chrome Engine.....A Browser desktop has the entire surface of the XMB able to act as "Canvas" or "Cairo surface" for Widgets and a Webkit Browser window....IF GTK+3 is used then there are multiple open source applications that can be easily ported to the PS3. With a do it yourself desktop the core logic of applications can be used but the entire GUI would need to be rewritten. The PS3 and certainly the N...

They've planned this already so nobody can disagree on this...i mean to say maybe they use this downtime (because of the breach) to do this (already planned) overhaul next to making a more secure system, it would be smart...Microsoft is no stranger to complete XboxDashboard/functions overhauls but that's easier cause the system was designed to support this since launch...Sony has to completely rewrite/rebuild PS3/PSN to support this...they've already planned this so why not do it ...

Maybe they have included it in the new firmware already?...i mean the one we get when PSN comes back online...could this be? I hope so that would be amazing! : )

They have a different depth and try to do good in a non-cheap fresh way...stay true to the history of what makes games beyond anything that came before it and add to that or even better....appeal to core and casual unlike most of the games casual game developers develop...this is another great example why Sony and 1st party developers are doing a better job than Microsoft and that Kinect is in fact setting us back....Sony/1st Party dev make type of games that are a welcome addition to true ga...

Hooray for Sony!!! This is more than i could have hoped for...thx Sony, say what Microsoft any free games to thank ur customers? Scarcely. Maybe 4 in 6 years (In Europe). And it's a paid service.

It's good to hear they stay true to the original Starbreeze game and the comic...i have high hopes for this game! In my opinion The Darkness is 1 of the best adaptations of a comic into a game ever! And 1 of the Classics of this Generation anybody who missed it should check it out, fresh gameplay(RPG/FPS mixed in a way only Starbreeze can manage)rugged variable environments/original take on fight and shoot mechanics/the minions gameplay combined with The Darkness are a joy etc too many th...

@Andron666 here in Europe? This is the INTERNET! it's global. Reading this article makes me think about the illusion that anything digital can be save, there is no such thing and if there was unhackable security...the ones protecting the data even abuse the data...we have to rethink what protection of data really means in this digital age...

Well said jaosobno. These are stressful times for Sony and the companies helping them rebuilding PSN and it's new security measures. I have faith in them to do the best they can to make PSN secure again. It's a tall order for some people to realize that nothing is self-evident and requires hard complex work like restoring a service as this while moving all the servers to new locations AND doing the extensive investigation with external help. People should have a little more empathy an...

These arguments are equally valid in terms of societies checks & balance, but i still love modern online gaming and singleplayer campaigns equally...for the time being. ^-^

This is a good article...also the future is not DD only for the time being, too many risks and bussiness dependencies involved....it would be stupid to go DD only...statistics point too a majority that keeps buying physical copies and it's preference is physical media instead of DD...only the pirates are the majority that go DD only....not the actual buying gamers where the industry gets it's income from. We care for actual property.... and to quote a fellow NG4 user comment made by S...

Yeah, should we retaliate against Microsoft for not making all Original Xbox games Backwards Compatible like they promised? of course not. This mentality of consumer retaliation is absurd in the entertainment industry...what a luxurious misunderstanding..hackers gone Loony Toons and the gamers are being obstructed, what a waste of skills.
