that means its not backwards compatible with ps1 discs therefore im not buying a ps4

i liked everything about ps4 than became cynical when I read you not able to use your psn digital purchases on ps4. What the hell sony? This alone makes me think twice about getting a ps4 and ive loved playstation for 19 years
i completed the first castlevania in less than an hour.
great console only 1 analog stick hurt it and tired of so many long loading times and noisy umd player. When it came out though it was amazing to have ps2 quality games in your hand and to watch movies on a portable on disc.
its not as big of a jump as from ps2 to ps3. To me it seems like a more refined ps3. Thats ok though when I got my ps3 I thought where can sony go from here this is near perfection. As long as sony keeps it at a reasonable price, it should be ok.
there should always be an option to game even when the internet is down
this means in the future we wont have to worry about storage space which has always been a headache with the current generation on all consoles
sony should make it a free to play game offer 3 free months of online play to show players how good it is

its karma heard few good things about gamestop in the last 5 years. The last time i bought a used game there it was scratched to hell. I returned it and got another copy and it was scratched too!
I was upset as well about the digital content. This will turn away alot of gamers sony better listen and hopefully change this. Most people bought the digital content thinking they could keep it for life and frankly its a slap in the face to psn users who have alot invested in digital content.
if you cant play any free or discounted ps3 games on the ps4 that you were supposed to be able to keep for life than yes the value is greatly dimished.
the top tier ps4 model and a ps vita thrown in along with a one year ps plus membership and a free AAA release title on ps4 for $599 might be a very good deal
so this means nothing is set in stone sony can still make tweaks and changes to the functions and features of ps4 before its release and they very well may from gamer feedback
