These articles show you that the PS3 is indeed a very reliable product.

oh btw there goes our attach rates. Hopefully we can convert the Airforce to play MGS4 and Socom.
/sarcasm
....
It wasn't a big controversy at all yet they still replied to that article. Wow, they must have felt that it was threatening their future multiplat lineup. lol
I wouldn't really mind the graphics at its current state. Socom's gameplay is what sets it apart.
This is amazing news. A terabyte PS3 would be sweet!
I hope they don't change the controls. I would be pissed.
BTW.... I know why its taking so long.
They're having too much fun playing it.
Come on bring this baby out already. I just want a small taste of the next generation Socom.
Excellent post!
I'd like to respond with my view (which is similar to yours) on this issue but you clearly covered all that I was going to say plus more. I'll give a bubble for your time in that post.
Seriously those of you who are in denial please read his post. I am not a 360 hater or anything, I just wish Microsoft can properly address this issue. Which is why I'm not surprised this article has been approved. If you ask me, these types of articles gets the attenti...
Those are some badass features. Can't wait to drive 100+mph into a wall to throw Niko through the windshield. lol
WTH? I was expecting "new" screenshots. Not screenshots from the TGS2007 trailer.
anyways.......... this game will be sick.
You'd be more pissed if your console decided to shut down during online gameplay and then receiving the RROD error when you turn it back on. lol
I'll be picking up two PS3's this year. A white one and an LE MGS4 bundle. The white one is gonna be the main entertainment hub of my living room.
My 60gig is going to take a break. It's a collectors item now. :)
Why don't Microsoft add a failsafe to the system? A temperature detection of some sort. When the temp exceeds the normal operating zone it automatically shuts off the system. I would think that its fairly cheap to integrate. Even if the design of the motherboard is flawed this definitely helps prevent the inevitable RROD error.
Socom is actually underrated.
Whats OVERrated is Halo and I'm dead serious. If you played Halo then Socom, you will never go back.
your being limited by the size of your game by the size of the discs. kojima wants to go even further than BD-50 and just because no games to date has reached that point, doesn't make it not possible. You already heard it from the lead developer himself.
and about the cinematics
official trailer back in 2006:

FPS = Forget Pre-rendered Stuff.
goes to show that ambientFLIER knows nothing about MGS.
.....CGI hahahahaha
nice try.
No game to date huh? well this article proves you wrong. And this is a game and the same developers that hardly uses pre-rendered CGI.
sorry MGS has real-time cinematic cut-scenes. real-time cut scenes doesn't use the amount of data that pre-rendered cgi uses.
When multiple discs are released for a game, there are common and required data written on EACH disc.
Lets say Lost Odyssey has 4 discs and the first 4 gigs of data of each disc is used for required/common data. Then the remaining free space is for other new data for cgi, audio, etc... Lost Odyssey would be about 18 gigs of UNIQUE data and 4 of those gigs being required/common data. Like physics, textures, menus, whatever.
Imagine splitting MGS4 that is 50gb of uniqu...
Haha that pic is freakin hilarious.
I thought Kai was retarded.
