Mart most PS2 games with online functionality to still works online. I'm sure PS3 games with Dev controlled servers will live as long or longer than the system itself.

If you find race simulators boring over time then your pretty much not a race sim fan, simple as that. Don't go running your mouth on which is better to those that played and have way more experience in simulators more than you do. Of course they know which is better to them and in the end of the day graphics or not people favor the Gran Turismo series more.
Work your a$$ son. The PS3 isn't expensive.
If you want a taste of GT5 get GT5P. You can skip Prologue all together and wait for the full version if you wish. Nobody is forcing you to pay $100 total for GT5.
I for one don't mind. I already bought the Japan version of Prologue a while back, and I'm about to get the US version soon. That would put me at $80 spent for a "demo"! Ha
As long as its free, I don't think anyone would get in trouble.

It may take 56 hours to complete the main missions BUT the main goal of the game will take about 400+ hours. It's called f**king around.
