1080p compatible TV's are kinda cheap now. I just bought my second one, a 60" Panasonic plasma for the bedroom and moved the bigger one in the living so my girl don't bug me. Sadly I can't use the plasma one though...... well, not yet. lol
I should be set when GT5P arrives to the states. Only thing missing now is the G25 wheel. The c0ckpit is already about 3/4 finished. Can't wait!
I remember seeing this on G4. Facial expressions can be captured with an ordinary video camera. That is pretty remarkable.
Hopefully the guys at Quantic Dream can incorporate this technology in their upcoming game, Heavy Rain. The tech demo was awesome but the facial expression was really off and weird.

I think Kojima didn't put it in Bluray because it's currently a bit expensive to distribute for free and secondly, some people that preordered the game probably do not even have a PS3 or Bluray player yet.
The DVD is great though. Great for those that need quick insights or a memory refresh.

I am actually aware that games have been in development before the release of the console. Read psycho's comment again, he is implying that those games have been delayed for 3 years now. 3 years in development doesn't necessarily mean 3 years of delay. We all know quality takes time to produce.
Why can't they provide the patch for free? 10 bucks for a patch? No thanks. I'll stick to ordinary, traditional controls.
You've mostly seen Act ONE of MGS4. You may never know how diverse other levels and areas may be. I'm not one that complains about color though. Just look at it in an artistic point of view. It really has the Middle East feel and theme to it.
I agree. I hope Sony does come to their senses enough to release a BR version. This is not the typical game for me, but I am indeed going to purchase it if it does come out in a disc. I like the feeling that I have a choice to resell or trade it in, when it comes to the point that I'm completely done with it.
This is a great addition to the PS family. Although, I'd rather enjoy LBP on my 70" HD in 1080p glory.
June is really not that far away. We have GT5P and GTA not to mention other anticipated games like Haze to keep us occupied for a while. June will come even before you know it and MGS4 will blow our minds away. I just got my 20th anniversary DVD from Gamestop and what can I say, I am hyped all over again.
Not having a hard drive DOES in fact affect performance. Games with large open world environments like MMO games require a hard drive for caching and stream loading textures and models. Load times will also noticeably decrease with the use of partial or full software installation.
Firefox on Leopard is still kinda buggy. I'm using it right now and some times it locks up. BUT on the windows version, its FLAWLESS. Best browser ever made. All I'm waiting for right now is for one my plugins to work. It's not compatible at the moment.
