Not sure what the exact numbers are... but I do know that Sony sold around 1 million ps4's in 24 hours and I can almost bet that the ones that are having problems are the ones that were sold from Amazon. ie put together at Foxcon.
Mine and several of my friends got theirs from Best Buy and noone I know has had a problem... Cept for anything related to the Network... So many people getting on sometimes its slower than others.
I have heard that workers at Foxcon (who were mad at Foxcon) sabotaged some of the PS4's that were going out from there. They were supposedly shipped from Amazon. But I also heard that Foxcon puts together the XBox one as well so watch out. As for my PS4 it is running without incident. Purchased from Best Buy at Launch.

Yea my local Target is sold out of Assassins Creed and Shadowfall. They had a few Madden, and NBA. I used the 30 percent off coupon and got three games for 90.00 bucks. Can't beat that.

You just cant play a fast game on any LG LCD tv without ridiculous Motion Blur. Cant stand them... I took my LA6900 back and got the Sony W802A, could not be happier..
Great TV. Especially since it has the new Back light technology that gets rid of the dreaded Soap Opera Effect. It is called Impulse. Do a search on the Internet for Strobe Backlight, then look up Sony Motionflow Impulse.
