I still have not found a clear answer to what 'hardcore' means. Is a game hardcore based on it's : genre, color pallet, protagonist, quality, depth, or rating?

I have a feeling it wont live up to the hype. Its just been too dam long, a lot of shooters have come and gone and I think this will get lost in the shuffle- which makes me sad because I have some good memories of playing Duke Nukem 3d on my windows 95 computer.
Miyazaki's films are amazing. I've been watching a lot of his work over the summer. There is a charm that is not found in western animation. Take 'my neighbor totoro' for example. Gorgeous animations and as a film it is amazing. No villains, no big action scenes and yet it is more memorable then any animated (or live) film I've seen in a long time.
Hopefully they show it, the game looked phenomenal.

Golden eye is looking pretty impressive so far. They've passed Reflex and Conduit both visually, but it remains to be seen if the controls are customizable.
