2) I'm almost positive about 3 months ago Microsoft themselves stated that they had freed up 6% to 8% power allocated to Kinects.
Link or it never happened
Agree PS4 is just a beast but no one can deny that it is a nice boost.
Those wont work anymore and we'll have to buy a new kinect-less sku.
Huh? 10% is a nice boost.This could be used for better framerates or better resolution.
I feel like the author still living in the past. For starters his first point is moot since MS last year E3 conference was really heavy on games content.
@Godmars290
Agree I can wait for next monday it should be interesting
Plus today the announced that June XboxOne software dev kit gives devs access to more GPU bandwidth.
"Yes, the additional resources allow access to up to 10 per cent additional GPU performance. We're committed to giving developers new tools and flexibility to make their Xbox One games even better by giving them the option to use the GPU reserve in whatever way is best for them and their games."

I use my Xbox One more at the moment. That could change in the future though depending on the games.
N worries about been cross gen. The game will be developed by different. FWIW is doing 360 and Playground is building XB1 version off FM5 engine.
Yeah i was thinking the same thing. Phil tweeted a while ago that the show would be hardcore oriented so i guess we'll be seen a lot of new announcements. Just a week to go.
MS keep announcing games before E3 I wonder what they'll show during the show. It really make me wonder.
Its VGchartz nothing to see move along.
@Lukas_Japonicus
I usually agree with you, but this time i disagree, the fact that he worked on DirectX don't give him any kin=d of expertise on DX12 or like you said knowing everything in the field. The truth is if he hasn't work with the software then he will know very little about it
@Pricey
If you are a dev as I am you'll know what code to the metal really means. It means you can code almost to the capacity of the hardware based on the software/tools you have available at the moment meaning that if you get better tools/software in this case DX12 you'll be able to get more performance out of the hardware.
BTW Im a developer for Android as well as CMS platforms and that doesn't mean I know jack about DX12 or game development f...
One of the biggest problem is gaming bolt. I dont know who is the EIC but he/she too doent have too much substance all they do is make articles based on tweets and job posts. What happened to journalism, but in part we are to blame since we are the ones who click in this horrible websites.
Whats up with all this insiders lately. I mean its just stupid. Their insides are jist so vague that anyone could be an insider.
This is not new gameplay. Its pasts of the old gameplay video. Looks good though.
the game is still in development and you are complaining about screen tearing... really?
@LazyGoron
"How can a console with 10% less power (Kinect X1) handle games in the same manner as a console with 10% more power (X1 alone)"
MS is not adding power to the hardware per se is all on the software side. Before they had 10% of the bandwidth reserved for Kinect so developer weren't able to use it, now MS free up this 10% so developers can choose to use it for games or use it for kinect features, all this is possible through software upd...
