Some of us also have our PCs hooked up to televisions. It's not something only consoles can do.

If you claimed it was broken, but then they'd have to send it in to get "repaired" and whatever, which just costs money to the companies, thus driving up prices for stuff. Take a raincheck from your girl for it and get it when it launches in Oct.

I mean, that's one serious impulse buy to get a PSP. Games yeah maybe since that's pretty cheap if you've got a system already, but a $169/199 (I didn't see what PSP version it was) impulse buy? If you're stuck in an airport I'm not sure how many of you would drop that much cash on a PSP and games rather than just buy a newspaper or magazine or something like that. You'd have to be partial to buying one anyhow, then the airport delay would just give you an excuse to buy one.

So how could it have "ended"?

Still, even without his approval it's possible for the FCC to mandate stuff without the president, this just isn't going to be some law by Congress. Anyhow, it sounds like partial cue cards anyway, so it's entirely possible Congress could pass a law and have it not get veto'd.

Really, vote on issues and not age or some other trait.

I'm leaning towards McCain since it's the lesser of two evils. It doesn't turn the US into a nanny state, stops income redistribution (that's all that oil refund really is), and while I dislike his internet policy for the most part, he does want to keep it tax free. I doubt any of that other stuff he's talking about (patent reform, no net neutrality) is going to be passed anyhow. It's just like how nothing is ever going t...

I logged in with my PSN ID and got a message that I haven't been invited yet, check back later yada yada. No email yet in my inbox either. I have Qore, but I'm not sure if this is another Beta program. There's going to be like 2-3 betas for R2, SOCOM, and KZ2, so there's multiple ways to get in. This could just be one of them, with the Qore offering to come later.

Something you unlock after beating it or something like that. So long as it's not expected like "Duke it out with 48 of your friends online!"

Maybe ala "Legend of the Hidden Temple." Minigame type things like scavenger hunts for treasure, racing (running/climbing/swimming), and brawling. Nothing huge, just for S&G with your friends.
Maybe we could even put together a silver monkey.

"Complaining about the 360 RROD is like complaining that the PS3 has no games." You mean it became totally untrue after the first year?

Say it ain't so!

And agree with SolidShank.

The author is trying to use a "perpetual license" as a way of saying since Sony and 3rd party devs don't have perpetual licenses, this is somehow going to allow MS to make a move in the future to grab exclusivity.
"Has this left the door open for future exclusivity? It surely gives Microsoft an advantage when negotiating with developers to produce titles for their platforms."
No, the deal is just for Microsoft first par...

Try Engadget. But don't go to the main page, it's full of apple news. Instead, try this handy link they gave out a while ago to sort out all apple related news.

Been drinking the kool-aid much?

Really though, yes "core" gamers follow the latest and greatest hardware, and in this case it was the 360 because it released first, but there are millions of people who want a next-gen experience and are looking for a long term console. You know, the "casual" gamers. Most of those people will pick up a Wii because it's the "hottest thing," some will pick up a 360 because the game catalog is so huge, or because th...

It's in most science textbooks that cover the different periods of the Earth. There's fossilized remains and whatnot that they've analyzed to get an approximate idea of the temperature. I mean, how else would they know there's been ice ages? Anyhow, global warming has never been proven as fake. It just hasn't been proven true.

You're absolutely right about the increased pollution, and we should definitely decrease emissions and whatnot. However, there's no concrete correlati...

That's assuming you believe global warming is actually occurring, and it's not due to the natural temperature fluctuations that appear throughout Earth's history.

Obviously humans have some effect, since if we never evolved there wouldn't be raw material processing, but the extent to which we impact the temperature is yet to be determined concretely. That's why for every report you find supporting global warming, you'll find another one that says it doesn't exist.

Fudzilla's got the RRP of the GTX280 at about 575euro (VAT included). I'm guessing this card is going to be $650++ when it releases here.

It's $39.99 next week at Bestbuy and Circuit City, along with Assassin's Creed (which has been out considerably longer). [sale price listings on CAG]

Consider this example then, if you think a serial number is the end-all-be-all of warranties:

I buy a PS3. It breaks 2 months later and I return it to Gamestop because I had an extended warranty. Gamestop refurbishes that PS3 through whichever service they use.

You come up and purchase the refurbished PS3 from Gamestop; their refurbished units carry 90 day warranties. It breaks 120 days later because whoever refurbished it did a crap job.

Guess what, ...

Very few companies actually let you transfer the warranty. Dell is one of them.

Most vehicle manufactures have the "lifetime" warranties nowadays, but guess what: they're limited to the original purchaser. That's because they know most people sell their car in 3-5 years and stuff will break after that, requiring repair fees.

Evga has a "lifetime warranty" if you register it within 30 days. Guess what, it's non transferable. But people still bu...

It was only $15. Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics. Seriously you guys can't fork over $15 for a game?

Obviously there should be some statue of limitations on games, like games older than 15 years could be downloaded. At the rate game prices are dropping now it'd be worth nothing anyhow. Supreme Commander was on clearance at Target for $7.98 and that only came out 2 years ago.

But I think the piracy is more of an argument for cheaper games. Why spend $50/60(console) on ...

Rap gets the most blame because even though stuff like that happens at Slipknot concerts, you don't see as many rock stars bragging about packing heat or doing drugs or anything like that.

Has there ever been any rock, country, or emo bands/singers arrested for assault weapon charges? Even if there has been (I can't remember one, but I don't discount that possibility), I bet there's hip hop "artists" that fit that category.

I clicked through the poor excuse for an article, and every time I clicked "Next" the number of views went up by 1. So 16100 views / 26 slides = 619 and then some unique visitors, assuming everyone viewed all pictures.

Can we ban Game Daily articles? They're completely worthless, and just want everyone to click through all those pages and get them ad revenue.
